Huge mistake by the Clippers. Doc has shown he is one of the best. If he was interested, I would absolutely bring him back. No offense to Clifford at all, but Doc really can coach.

Re: Around the NBA, 2019/20 Edition
Doc is pretty much the same as Clifford. Mediocre coach who does specific things really well.
I don't want any re-treads anymore. I want a coach that is proactive in lineups and adjusting and isn't scared to try certain things if it meshes well with how our roster is built.

Doc to Philly makes too much sense.
MDA to the Clips? Thibs? JVG? Kidd? Who else is out there that might get a look in?

Ha, I slept through that update! I like Thibs, so I hope he can turn NYK around. Their fans deserve it.
One less candidate for LAC then.

Irrelevant right now.
Players want to play for Doc.
How many names are lining up to play under Cliff.
I can’t believe some people. Look at the state this team is in!! Yet you would pass up Doc Rivers if he had interest in Orlando.

If Doc meant a star player would come I would consider it.
If we're just thinking Doc can turn a bunch of 7th-8th seed ceiling players in the East to anything more, it's a wasted hire.

Doc has praised Vuc a few times...
But no chance WeHam do that to Cliff. Cliff will have to fail before they can him.

We don’t have the $$ to sign anyone so it’s not happening.
He will either go to a team like Philly, sit out a year and wait for the right opportunity or sign with a club with massive cap space to sign multiple free agent stars.
Could Atlanta be looking to add a premier coach to groom Trae? They only have $59M committed for next season and $32M (+ team options) for 2021.

Re: Around the NBA, 2019/20 Edition
yea going off limb, with injuries and simply lack of talent, Lakers will sweep this.
one of most boring offseasons of my life, huge gap in between regular season and playoffs, teams like Bucks and Clippers out of synch.
I think i watched my last nba game for this year, thinking about taking some time off in general. NBA is kind a boring nowdays, regular season is unwatchable, playoffs show how unrealistic, inflated and " fake" are Harden's 36 ppg and Giannis 30 ppg (and other stars in general). Every other average player averaging 20 ppg like it's allstar game, no defense whatsoever, rules that are made to make offense unguardable, just to do full 180- on rules in playoffs.
On top of that freaking Durant didn't play whole year, and if now it's not obvious who is only player up there with Lebron...

Durant is mentally weak. He had GS down 3-1 and lost, and then went to JOIN them.

He had ultimate playoff disaster Westbrook taking most idiotic playoff shot ever recorded
game 5 :
11-28 FG (39% ), 7 turnovers
game 6
10-27 ( 37%), 5 turnovers
game 7
7-21 (33% ), including 2 FGM in WHOLE SECOND HALF.
It was flat out impossible for Durant to overcome somebody as dreaful, yet so wild in his FGA as Westbrook proved to be. Years later it's no suprise that Westbrook never ever had any playoff sucess without Durant. While Durant carried his a*** to nba finals and to WCF.
Durant has been only player on same level as Lebron for years. But his arrogant behavior toward media members pushed Giannis and Kawhi "over" him, while never actually being as good as KD is ( was, prior achillie at least).
KD is easly the best scorer of our era, he pretty much needs 2 and half more years to enter top 10 all time scoring list. ( one of two players in whole history who reached 20 K ponits before turning 30 ).

Doesnt like alot of those things too, but i had really fun watching Boston vs Toronto & Boston vs. Miami. Doesnt watched the WC playoffs at all, after the Clippers flopped.
But its funny that LeBron is now the best of all time, because he won a championship in the western conference. Yeah without the Warriors & with a top 6 player on his team, while 2 of the other top 6 players havent played this season & half of the NBA players being happy to be out of the bubble as fast as they can

KD is mentally weak. other evidence, his burner accounts used to defend himself on twitter. not saying he wasnt wrong in leaving Russ. But cmon, took the easiest way out by joining a 71 game winning team to make it as easy as possible to win a title. And having all those good players so teams wouldnt double team him as much

Re: Around the NBA, 2019/20 Edition
Tim Duncan & Anthony Davis NBA resume by age 27:
TD AD
2 | 0 FMVP
2 | 0 Titles
2 | 0 MVP
7 | 4 All-NBA 1st team
5 | 2 All-NBA Defensive 1st team
0 | 1 Demanding a trade in the middle of the season to join the best player in the world
It’s annoying that the Lakers will win another championship, especially during a pandemic season, after how easily it was to let GM LeBron build this team. Never thought I’d want Golden State to be healthy before to prevent LeBron from getting to the Finals.

Re: Around the NBA, 2019/20 Edition
All things considered, there were some pretty good playoff series IMO. I’m just thankful we got to finish the season.
Boston Miami
Boston Toronto
Miami Mil (upset)
Denver LAC
Denver Utah
Denver LAL
OKC Houston
Hopefully next year teams like GSW and Brooklyn can mix things up and make things interesting.
Possible young teams like NOP, Memphis, Atlanta, Phoenix taking another step forward.
Unfortunately Orlando will be one of the least interesting teams in the league yet again
