Okeke badly out of position. will be out of the league likely next year

he isnt athletic at all, looks extremely slow laterally, hell he looks slow pushing the ball. hes going to get killed at the 2 guard

My guess on next year's rotation (FA and trades pending)

Starters: Fultz/Harris (he almost has to be kept at this point for the shooting alone IMO)/Franz/Paolo/Carter

Bench: Anthony/Suggs/Black/TBD PF/Bitadze

Jett on the deep bench for now.

Maybe Jett becomes the 6'8" version of Gary Harris.

I kinda disagree, there are players perceived as better than Jett that can shoot, for example Dick, that is why people are upset. Most mocks had Jett going in late in the first round.

but how much better? he's a great 3pt shooter but jett is a shooter as well but his percentage might not be as high because from my eyes he was taking tougher shots off the dribble...i like gradey dick but i think jett is more dynamic, he's not just going to stand in one spot....Jett has a lot more in his bag offensively than gradey

I completely disagree. Guys like Dick or Hawkins had far much more in their bag than Jett. Jett to me is pretty much a spot up shooter. Most of his points only came off a few dribbles. He typically just shoots.

I also said teams probably value Black as some early Iguodala level ball-handler connector guy.

We were never going to hand the keys to a rook while the team is actively talking about "playoffs or bust" - as long as there is a path forward, which I still can see, granted we move on from someone after this next season, probably Cole (or Suggs if he doesn't take a leap this year).

Howard Mass wrote:A lot of you might not be happy with Anthony Black and Jett Howard (Both on my Big Board at 7 and 15) . A lot of us were not happy at first in previous years with Weltham picks.

I think people are more pissed that Cam Whitmore Gradey Dick Kobe Bufkin and maybe Kevonte George and Jordan Hawkins were passed on for Jett Howard. I had them higher too but let's see what happens.

i was hoping for your Big man at #6 and then a shooter scenario. not going to lie, not happy with their choices right now

Same as last years starting lineup.

But with no Okeke and no Houstan

The Magic knew this Jett pick all along. They already had his Magic promotional video of him post on FB 2 seconds after the pick was announced

This is who the FO really wanted so they saw something special with this kid the entire time.
