Like Fultz/Harris for one of them works, but I don't see the appeal in flipping expirings for expirings for those teams. Maybe the Magic kick in a second round pick or something.

I wouldn't really want either of them, but it's good news that the FO is actually interested in something. I could see them making no trades and Fultz and Harris just expiring or us trying to sign Fultz to an extension in the summer.

I doubt if that rumor is even true.

If you can get Paul for a reasonable offer you just have to do it. He's the best guy to show these kids what it takes specifically Jalen Suggs.. he could mentor him and mold him. Paul could show Jalen how to change speeds..how to run PnR.. how and why to slow down and let things marinate and if he's successful that could be more valuable than anything he does on the court.

Here’s my thought on Chris Paul…

There’s no real scenario where I’m interested in paying a 39 year old $30M next season.

So what are we really doing? Trading for CP3 for the remaining 35 whatever games left this year and the playoffs?

I would only give up expiring contracts for that. Nothing more.

How much of next year’s deal is guaranteed? I would give up a 2nd rd pick to have him for just the rest of this season

As I understand it, the entire final year of CP3’s contract is unguaranteed for next year.

Whoever he’s playing for has to decide by June 28th.

I normally like reading our team connected to rumours. But not for trash like this.

Stay away WePark.

The two consistent themes are that we are in the market for shooting and a PG. At least the rumor mill is pointing in the right direction.

You can't put a price on the experience and skill Chris Paul brings. If you could hand pick a mentor or a coach he would be it. He's arguably a top 5 PG all time.

A healthy Chris Paul could lead this team to a conference finals appearance. Every player would get behind him. CP3 would unlock a lot of things.

Just give them a couple of expiring contracts and a couple of 2nd rounders.

Yeah, CP is still a high performing player and a definite locker room guy. I'd be thrilled to get him.

My question is, would CP3 be invested here? Would he be motivated? Of course there isn't a better veteran for us, but I'm uncertain how motivated CP would be here.

Anyone who thinks CP3 is going to play heavy minutes in Orlando is sadly mistaken!

His real value is teaching and molding Anthony Black into a more complete point guard!

I think that whole molding and showing our young guys how to play is so overrated. I don’t think that crap happens as often as people think, least of all for 35 games. If our big trade target is 40 year old CP3 or fat Kyle Lowery I’m going to be pissed.

I can appreciate this thought… I actually think this would be an incredible move… Even if it’s not teaching skills, as much as it’s teaching a fierceness/competitiveness—few in the league would be as respected as Paul… Let him instill that on this team, this season and next….

…and opens up a roster spot for any buyouts?

WCJ / Wagner / Goga
Banchero / Isaac / Schofield
Franz / Moody / Jett
Suggs / Houstan / Kevon / Queen
Fultz / CP3 / Black

Sign a Gordon Hayward on a buyout??

If we are serious about making a deep run in the playoffs, heck yeah

But the problem is who is getting traded especially among our PG rotation?

Plus is CP3 on contract next season? He has a huge contract this year also
