Tye Eastham ‏ @MAGICtvproducer
Dante Marchitelli talks with Otis Smith about state of team and Dwight situation before the tip on Sun Sports at 7:00.

That's gonna be a great conversation:

Dante: "So Otis, what are your thoughts about the state of this team?"
Otis: "I like this team"
Dante: "We already know how much you like this team. But are you looking to improve this roster?"
Otis: "No"
Dante: "Why not?"
Otis: "Because I like this team"

Not surprised.. he wants all the talent there... I bet Melo advised him on that ... if Dwight does that, plays us with fasle hope of staying only to bolt during the summer, he's a tool

I give the guy credit for coming on here, and a few folks basically chased him away.

I don't for a second believe the Magic aren't trying to get something done, and 'insider' contacts drying up is certainly an indicator of something in the works.

But that doesn't mean anything will happen. It takes two (or more) to tango, and sometimes no matter what you do, you still can't close a deal.

No one "chased him away"... ReverseAngle (IIRC) said "you're not a writer"... that was the only thing anyone said, and, it wasn't even that bad... and Drigez had a funny picture that said "Oh Snap!"... anyway for some reason when OrlandO asked if he could tell us what he did to help the people that didn't know who he was... know what he does he got all bitchy...

He did get defensive but people in here want to critique peoples profession as if they know what they're talking about or what it takes to do their job. ReverseAngle (or whoever) said "you're not a writer"... In the end he's getting paid to do what we do here all day for free......

The guy writes tiny little blurb-articles once in a blue moon. I could poop out those things in like 2 minutes (honestly, I could...easily). He also only does maybe a couple a month or so. Is that his full-time job? If so, can I get paid half of what he does to do his job please?

Yep, and it looks like magic111 and the people that agreed with him were right... if this is the case, trade him to NJN to get Brook and Brooks with their picks so they could suck fat ass......

exactly... if this is Dwight's cynical plan... then milk NJ dry, get draft picks from them, get brook, etc... make it difficult for NJ to ever become a team that can compete with the Heat or Knicks or Bulls

Nah....if that's his plan, trade him to wherever we can get the best return for him. End of story. Don't let emotion screw up your business decision. If that's the best overall return, then so be it, but if the Lakers can offer something better, or GSW, or whoever....then trade him to them, regardless of if he may walk to NJ in the summer or not.

I dont really care tbh.. Poop one out then...Doesnt matter getting paid is getting paid. (assuming he does) those who pretend to write shouldn't bash someone for no reason. People need to grow up.

If Dwight really wants to opt out and sign with them outright, leaving us with nothing, he then is a liar. He said he wanted to help the Magic get the best possible deal so they would not be left hanging dry. He wouldn't do that to this franchise, this fanbase, this city. If he intends to just that... then I am severely disappointed in that guy.
