Even if Bledsoe doesnt pan out as the full time starting PG, he coud be a super sixth-man off the bench at both guard positions. Or he could be traded.

Highlights from Chad Ford's chat
Andrew Z. (Struthers, OH)
How much would you say McLemore is slipping?

Chad Ford (1:08 PM)
Hard to say. He's not been impressive in workouts and his representation situation is a huge, huge mess. McLemore isn't being projected in the best light which is a shame because he's a really good young man. He's just naive and he doesn't understand what it take at the next level and he has people advising him who don't know either. But the talent is there. If a team believes they can guide and mold McLemore, change the situation around him, they'll take him. But that's easier said than done.

Dan (Ocala, Fl)
So if you were drafting for the Magic, you would take??

Chad Ford (1:11 PM)
Oladipo. I think they're leaning the same way from the sound of things. The McLemore workout/interview wasn't great. Don't think they're sold on the PGs. Obviously Noel is a possibility if the Cavs pass on him at No. 1.

Vishal (Orlando)
Is there a chance that a team looking for point guard help drafts CJ McCollum before Michael Carter Williams and Trey Burke? I think the Magic would be a good fit.

Chad Ford (1:21 PM)
Maybe. I think the Suns like McCollum more than Burke or Williams. Ditto for the Blazers. Think the Kings prefer Carter-Williams. Pistons are neck-and-neck with Burke/Carter-Williams. Have heard the Magic and Pelicans both may prefer Carter-Williams.

Jo Jo (Houston, Texas)
Good afternoon, Mr. Ford!Who's is in play for the Mavs pick (what are you hearing)? Pistons, Cavs, others? What is it going to cost besides taking on Marion?

Chad Ford (1:30 PM)
I've also heard the Knicks, Thunder and Cavs. Cost is either a 2014 first rounder or taking back Marion into room. By the way, some teams think that the Mavs may already have a deal as the trade talk has silenced in Dallas the past few days. The Mavs can't officially announce anything until after they make their draft selection.

AA has such a bad rep because he tried being the man when that's not his game. I think AA would thrive once BBD comes back and Tobias gets the ball more in his hands.

I don't neccessarily agree that AA > Bledsoe for this team, but AA does get a bad rep for trying to be the man. In a way doesnt that mean he ISNT a good fit for the team though? I guess maybe if Vaughn would stop encouraging him to be our go to guy maybe he would do better. . .

at this point, harris would atleast be a top 3 pick in this draft, possibly better. i mean would anyone here trade him for any single prospect?

While i do agreee that Harris could easily be a top 3 pick in this draft. The comparison is just nonsense. You already kmow what Harris can contribute and two, Harris is already has a year under his belt of training to improve on skills he has to work on.

I really like Andrew Nicholsen a lot.....but IF he has to be included in the afflalo/bledsoe trade.....what do you'll think of Mike Muscala?

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Mike-Muscala-6520/

he seems to bring a lot of the things Andrew did (offensively) while also having a lot of the things that he needed to improve on (rebounding and defense).

I don't see how the Knicks or Thunder could take on salary.

OK, it's not speculation any more: #Celtics, #Clippers agreed to deal(s). David Stern goes on ESPN Radio, makes it clear #NBA won't allow it

Basketball reasons...

Probasketballdraft ‏@Probballdraft 12m
Dallas pick is available and Cavs appear to have parameters of a deal in place to move up from 19 for it. Target is Sergey Karasev.

More bout stern by LAC beat writer:

Brad Turner ‏@BA_Turner
NBA commish David Stern on Stephen A. Smith radio show about the deal:"I would say in the language of diplomacy that the teams are aware that the collective bargaining agreement doesn’t authorize trades involving coaches contracts "

"The only consideration that can be done here in players transactions are other players, draft picks and a very limited amount of cash."

"But, coaches contacts don’t qualify as extra consideration or acceptable consideration in player transactions."

"The teams know that, it has been confirmed to them. What we wouldn’t prohibit..what the rules wouldn’t prohibit.Let me start again.what the rules won’t allow"

Does anyone here actually watch Bledsoe play? He just isn't a playmaker. He's basically a guy like Avery Bradley where people saw his height and assumed he would just be an athletic, defensive-minded PG once he "learned the game." If 2009 Turkoglu or even 2012 Redick was on the team I would be all for it because that would let Bledsoe be Bledsoe.
