Good game for Black. Keep him in the starting line up. I want to see more.

Holy ****. He’s another home run pick. Didn’t see it coming, happy to be wrong.

He has a natural feel for the game you can't teach and it's not afraid of the moment. That's half the battle.

He lacks shooting (despite the night)...but he brings the best of Fultz and the best of Suggs - in a bigger package. That's a fascinating player, but not one you can have a whole bunch of. Suggs better start making those 3's is all I'm saying. Fultz better start trying to make some 3's or there's not much of a case to be made for him. Black is coming.

Eye test = passed.

I would also rate him highly on Jay Bilas' "bouncy" meter.

hoping its a good sign that it took until AB's 4th NBA game to miss a FG, and in that 4th game he was 4/6 and 2/3 from 3. Didn't think there was a chance he'd make a three before Markelle...

Great poise. Doesn't look like the NBA game is too fast for him. He plays within himself and with good pace. Him being a pest on defense is going to keep him in the game. I'm not sure how much to believe in the shooting yet, but we're really not losing much on that end considering he's competing with Markelle Fultz and Jalen Suggs.

Last week, we were wondering if Black would ever get minutes? This week, we're wondering how you can take him out of the SL?

His impact comes in a lot of the same ways it did in college. High IQ on both ends, connector piece, great off-ball movement, elite defense, positive plus-minus, great rebounding, and a knack for getting to the line. He's a floor general on both sides of the ball. His shooting efficiency bump is likely a product of being the 5th option on the floor.

I had a feeling his style of play would translate well and that's why I said he would be a better impact player than some of the veteran guards we already have. He went from looking scared in the preseason to looking fearless in his first start.

I think he's earned a spot in the rotation based on his play, not even based on his upside and future value. I'd love to see him make the rising star game and all rookie first team.

AB doesn’t play like a rookie so far. It’s pretty insane to me.

Hopefully, AB gets the start against his hometown team. Duncanville is a suburb of Dallas.

Penny was 2.5 years older than Black as a rookie.

How likely is it that with Fultz and Harris healthy again Black goes back to the deep bench?

I think he stays in the rotation. He can handle the ball and defend guards, and we need help in both of those areas. Suggs needs to have a ball handling guard next to him.
