I'd like to make the first overrating comparison. Moore = the next Brandon Roy!

Nice pick up. I really liked his game at Purdue.

Agreed, Swami. I have been a Purdue fan my whole life. I grew up in Lafayette, Ind. I really like Moore and think it was indeed a good pickup. I followed his whole career at Purdue.

Now you guys are just being crazy... If you are going to overrate him to compare to anyone it surely has to be Mark Price or John Starks. Lol especially if he goes to be a PG

Definitely anxious to see what happens with the next trade, who's leaving and what we're getting back.

Liggins holds Marshon Brooks to 0-10 shooting while Brooks destroys the rest of his opponents in summer league, and suddenly Liggins is overrated and overhyped. The people on this board sometimes....wow. Liggins is a sick defender...not even talking about potential, he IS a sick defender right now, and if some people can't see why that would be important in terms of trying to beat certain teams in the future, then I don't know what to say to that.

But good point, I have honestly never had the chance of watching Liggins play. Hopefully he stays aboard or maybe they use him in a trade?

He's a pretty good defender with very few other skills and basically zero offensive game. There's a reason he dropped to late in the second round, he's a flawed player. Maybe we sign him, maybe we don't, but he is not going to be player that brings significant impact for several years, if ever. More likely he's a nice guy to have on the bench.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
@qchris1 I think the Magic's starters will be Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo, Hedo Turkoglu, Glen Davis & Nik Vucevic.

Orlando Magic Daily ‏@OMagicDaily
Arron Afflalo tells @BianchiWrites that he has not been in touch with Jameer or the other holdovers on the roster. Hmm...

Orlando Magic Daily ‏@OMagicDaily
Here is good news about Afflalo, he seems to feel offended that everyone expects the #Magic to completely bottom out. Guy is competitive.

There is a reason Gortat was picked nearly last, what was that reason again? Because now he is a starting center in the league. Why do people continue trying to prove something by using draft position. That makes no sense.

Liggins is not useless offensively either. He can make an open shot and occasionally take it to the basket. Not every position can be super skilled at every facet of the game.

Love that he's competitive......

Buttttttttt he has to know the situation he's coming into.....Him saying some of that makes him seem like he's more about him individually than the good for the team. Which is obviously to tank...

The good of the team is to win. No respectable athlete will ever play to lose.

The good of the team is to win?

Did you forget what we just did? We traded the best center in the NBA for players that suck so we could lose. I don't need to sugarcoat it to make it sound any better than it really is.

I am not saying he shouldn't be competitive, obviously. I am saying that he shouldn't be trying to prove everyone wrong about us not being good. It's obvious we won't be as that is part of the plan....

So so far our current roster is this right?

Jameer/Ish/Moore
Afflalo/JJ/Liggins
Turk/Harkless/Q/Eyenga
BBD/Harrington/Nicholson/McRoberts
Vucevic/Ayon/OQuinn

I'm a bit confused as to what is going to happen with our bigs. We need to cut/move 2 of these guys to get down to 15 roster spots. Obv we are going to try to move a couple of them....but I mean, Nicholson is currently our 3rd string PF, and I am sure that the Magic will want him to get some decent minutes under his belt. I'm wondering if maybe we are going to do something where that is our starting lineup, but then BBD slides to C spot for a good amount of minutes and Harrington slides to PF....then when Harrington needs a rest, Nicholson comes in? I don't see BBD being moved, Harrington possibly, but I don't know if he would be moved before the beginning of the season (my guess would be no). Either way, I am wondering how Nicholson is really going to get all that much playing time if not.

I think a big part of the problem is that any of the guys we got in the Dwight trade can't be packaged until Oct 10, they can only be traded individually...so that might be hampering some of the potential deals.

One thing I do remember reading that Henny said recently was that one of his priorities was "to get another center"?? So now we want 4 centers on the roster? I really don't get what is going on with all these bigs we have...

I honestly hope it's not the case but maybe this package they are working on includes JJ and Vucci Mane. By individually do you mean literally by themselves or no1 else from that actual trade?

JJ and Vucci COULD bring back a awesome pick as well as a good filler for a team trying to shed moneyz. We still have that epic TPE we can use as well.

I like Vucci, but unless they plan on sending BBD away, there is no possible way to get Nicholson minutes.

Unless they start BBD at 4 and Vucci at 5 and then allow nich and vucci to split minutes with BBD at 4/5.
Idk really it just seems like a huge log jam IMO
