What would y'all give up to get Jaylen Brown from Boston?

I would be okay with

Fultz or Anthony
Hampton
Ross
Bamba
1st Rounder (Top 3 protected)

For

Brown

Our lineup when healthy
PG: Fultz/Suggs
SG: Brown/Suggs
SF: Franz/Okeke
PF: Isaac/WCJ
C: Bamba/WCJ

Solid 8 man rotation that we can add some free agents.

Yikes. No thank you. Way too much for Brown. Also, fixed that starting lineup for you.

I'd give up a lot...that '22 pick being the foundation of the deal. I'd consider adding the CHI pick as well (especially if we can keep some Top 3 limits on ours). Not sure we'd have to add Fultz or Anthony to that package, IMO. I'd still like to see that PG situation work itself out...there's at least 2 really good players out of Fultz, Anthony, and Suggs-but we don't know who yet.

ORL sends: '22 pick (top 3 protected, unprotected if necessary), Harris (20m expiring), TRoss (watch him wake up), Bamba
BOS sends: Jaylen Brown, Aaron Nesmith

The pick's a big deal, many here will slam this but are you really likely to get a better player than you KNOW Brown is? You may have seen a similar thread I started on the Trade boards. Obviously, a lot would depend on BOS's state of mind and feelings about the draft. I don't think the value is out of line-the pick is a big deal and Jaylen Brown is a big deal. We're also including Bamba and a lot of financial benefit in Harris' expiring. BOS could rebuild on the fly, while Tatum and Smart are still relatively young. We take a giant leap in talent without leaving our age timeline (vs drafting and hoping and waiting to see if we guessed right).

Fultz/Anthony (I'm really hoping Fultz is THAT good but either way isn't bad)
Brown/Suggs/RJ
Franz/Nesmith
Isaac/Okeke
WCJ/Moe Wagner/RoLo

If Fultz & Isaac come back strong, that's an intriguing, versatile, and still very young team.

Jaylen Brown is better than our whole team combined lol. You'd have to give up the house to get him. And I don't think we have much that would help the Celtics.

I don't think there's any question that our '22 pick is our most valuable trade asset and I'd happily trade it than bring in another overhyped stiff

If Isaac could prove healthy I could see Boston wanting him, for sure. That’s not happening any time soon though.

Suggs + Fran + 22FRP are the only untouchables.

Isaac + Ross + WCJ + Harris + Cole (for Brown + Horford + Neismith) would turbo charge the depth of their team by giving them a new front court and a pair of microwave scorers.

Adding Cole might seem like an overpay but Isaac + WCJ aren’t getting it done alone.

Jaylen isn't the alpha scorer we would need I don't think. Don't get me wrong, he'd easily average 25 on this team but he's not the player you completely gut your team for. I'd feel more comfortable with that sort of trade if we already had that guy on our team. But who knows..

This would be a disaster in my opinion. Mosley has the young guys playing and developing. Why disrupt this group now?

I like Jaylen but wouldn't give up Isaac and WCJ for him.

I’m not unhappy with the young guys, but Brown is much better than all of them. Maybe it’s too bullish on him, but he already has a strong track record as a scorer and defender on a playoff team, and he’s young. Whilst he may not be an MVP type player, he could land there as *the* main option of a team. If not, he gets us much closer to a roster that could get there, imo.

Ideally I’d change a bunch of those outgoing names, like Bamba for WCJ and Fultz for Cole, but I don’t think Boston bite.

Franz + Brown + Suggs is a strong core to build around. Add a Chet/Banchero/Jabari to that mix and we could be very interesting. The rest are also still young with room to stay healthy and improve (Okeke/Bamba/Fultz/RJ), or be flipped for other pieces.

All that said - I am warming to Cole’s microwave scoring and kinda want to see that through now. Also, it’s all fantasy until Isaac steps back on a court again.

Once fultz and ji will be back, we ll be a great 2 way team

Kelle, suggs
Suggs, cole
Franz, chuma
Ji, wcj
Wcj, mo

Guard rotation: kelle, suggs, cole
Sf rotation:franz, chuma
Pf/c rotation:ji, wcj, mo

Ross has to be traded for expiering + assets
Harris - see ross

There is a lot to like about the roster on paper, but there are major, major questions on the rotation. Notably at the PG and PF slots: who starts?

Also: A ten-man rotation might leave little court time for Hampton and Okeke. That is not good.

Trades need to be made when Fultz and Isaac are healthy to resolve some of these conflicts.

Orlando appears to be going the "balanced roster" approach. In that, there is no need for this team to go with yet another rookie on the roster.

This team also has a log-jam at both the PG and PF slots. Not saying it is for Brown, but the sort of move that makes this team better is a trade of Anthony, Okeke and the FRP for such a player.

Boston is in play-in zone, so the team would try to build around Brown rather than unload him. Boston needs to get a lot worse for this trade to make sense.

I don’t see The Celtics passing on Cole/Franz/Mo/1st combo for Jaylen but I wouldn’t offer it for him either.

I made a Patrick Williams trade thread in the trades and transactions forum, and a magic fan suggested Isaac as a centerpiece for PWill. Bulls need interior defense and athleticism. Obviously both guys are coming off big injures. Does a trade revolving around PWill and Coby White make sense for Orlando? PWill can play SF and PF. May be a prototypical PF in the future though.

Just spitballing here. It would obviously be tough with 2 guys coming off major injuries. Sounds like the Magic have a logjam at PF/C though.

Of course they would say no, but it isn't really about value. Brown just isn't that good. Boston has been a .500 team since Hayward departed. Brown is a nice player, but he doesn't really move the needle. I could certainly see Boston wanting to make significant changes. The issue is that Brown could be the key piece in a package for a disgruntled star should one hit the market.

Would any of you trade for Kyrie? I looked at the 3 proposed trade from Den, Clippers and Mavs. We can definitely offer more. The point is will Kyrie stay with us.
