Or a point guard that is a threat to shoot further than five feet from the basket. Fultz clogging the paint and adding no spacing takes a lot away from franz and Paulos game getting to the rim or driving and kicking it out to someone open for a 3

3&D guard would add one missing dimension, but we need a proper PG. Fultz offensive game is similar to Denver AG, but without corner 3. His lingering at dunker spot effectively limits what our center can do on offense, as we can't have both of them in the low post without killing Paolo and Franz driving game. Shooting is indeed part of this, but we need both spot-up and off the dribble shooting, ability to run pick'n'roll where defense can't ignore ball handler and drop hard, forcing defense to switch and shuffle.

More modest, less daring, and far more likely...

ORL sends: Fultz, Harris, srps
CHA sends: Kyle Lowry

I've been saying for years...Fultz is a PF in a big PG's body

That's what he has been limited to now and he has none of Charles Barkley in him to make it work.

I really want no part of Lowry or Paul.

Neither of those guys will be enthused finishing out their playing years in Orlando without another opportunity of winning another championship.

The idea is good in theory but not In practice.

So, the dilemma here might be as simple as 30 games of Paolo and Franz playing with CP3 or with Fultz? It's not that hard.

I could stomach Paul, no to Lowry.

I wouldn't be sending out assets for either if it were up to me. Both guys would need to have assets attached to make it feasible for this team.

As previously said, they would want to go to contenders and could be malcontents landing here.

I mean… can they not find anyone in between ? lol

Chris Paul is on a 2 year $30.8m contract.

Lowry is on an expiring.

It's Weltman we're talking about. Take it and celebrate. Also, CP3 is essentially an expiring too as his deal for next season is not guaranteed and we would probably wave him come June.

Paul’s contract is fully unguaranteed for next season, so he’s also an expiring if the acquiring team wants him to be.

CP ticks a few boxes that I really like

1. Great mentor for Suggs/Black
2. Great experience, one of the GOAT PGs
3. No risk as a Black blocker
4. Is still one of the best floor generals in the game
5. Would make us immediately better

The CP3 rumors aren't true. Lowry will be waived soon.

It's all a matter of whether he's enthused for another "revival/mentor/See? I'm not dead" year. His most recent one (he was considered un-tradeable/worst contract in the league/washed up) was over FOUR years ago. Would he or Lowry even show up - both are presently on IR. I think we could parlay a win-now player or two to get CP3 and at least one young guy they can't wait for.

Lowry would be easy to get as CHA has no use for him...but to what end? I'd rather add more srps and get Tyus. Even that's less of a leap than we should be aiming for.

I'm all for an engaged year of CP3, maybe even another one if it clicks...but really - why would he?

as always, total certainty from Rob...what is your basis for this "anti-rumor"?

Man….Alright…If out of those two, I’m going with CP3. I can’t stand Lowry. Way back he was someone you wanted on your team and not playing against. That’s now grown into I want neither.

Idk man. This is weak to me. I get the notion but just screams “can’t get anything done so there’s this.” CP3 you can make a case for to some degree due to his history and skill but he’s on the wrong side of 30. Can he even still contribute?

I also have slowed down on Murray. Dude is talented but can he let Paolo cook when he’s hot?

Because it's from some random .com. Last month, they were claiming we were trying to work out a deal from Mikal Bridges.
