This was 2 weeks ago @ Phoenix. He can still do this every play but he hasn't been giving it 100% for the Wizards since his suspension, he feels the team bailed on him and they kind of did.

Gil can still play. He also left 11+ million on the table when he signed his original deal so the Wizards could resign Deshawn Stevenson. If anybody would be willing to opt out of a deal like his in order to help the team (assuming things went well) it would be Arenas.

Listen, if someone tells me Carmelo wouldn't be better off for the Magic than Vince I would laugh at them non stop because Carmelo is 2134234x the player Vince is at this point and I truly believe he would make Orlando a true championship contender. Carmelo is the one player I can see pushing Orlando to that true championship status.

However, when I hear people telling me Gilbert is going to be better than Vince because Vince sucks blah blah I can't help but laugh at that notion. While I do believe Gilbert is a little better than Vince at this point, he's not that much better. It's basically a situation of different player, same problem.

Because 15/4/3 on 47% shooting playing only 30min/game with limited touches is still good, it's just not great, and this team needs a great perimeter player ( I doubt Gilbert is that guy, but hey, who knows). What I on't get is the people that think he's been awful. They must've been confusing him with rashard or q or something, I don't get it

LOL 8 assists? He's averaging 5.6 and clearly his assists are going to be high when he handles the ball so much. Carter averaged >5 APG every year in NJ including his last year before he got traded to Orlando. Not to mention Arenas is shooting 39% from the field and 32% from 3. The fact that he's only averaging 2 more PPG than Vince on a team with no options is telling enough. Arenas is likely a better player than Vince at this point but not by as much as many of you think he is. Also as Last Guardian is trying to portray, just because a player plays decently on another team doesn't mean he's going to fit into the system here. How is Gilbert going to play when he realizes he needs to share the ball with Dwight, Jameer and Rashard? As Last Guardian said, different player, same problem.

vince IS a better passer than arenas. vince is one of the best passing SGs in the league. it just hasn't shown through in orlando at all, mostly by virtue of the offensive system that we employ. watch his nets clips on youtube sometime.

Trust me that is wrong. Gil is probably the most underrated passer in the league and you will see that, espically if Nelson is out. I bet most Wiz fans will tell you right now that Gil is a better passer then Wall
