In next few hours, I expect Magic to announce signings of draft picks Justin Harper & DLiggins. Also, signing Tony Battie strong possibility

Thought somebody posted in one of the threads here, that Battie re-signed with Philly ?

Yeah, Robbins is backtracking now.

He thought about Orlando but it seems he's ultimately chosen Philly.

According to my maths, if we amnestied Arenas, that would have put us at AROUND 57 mil, which is under the cap. Then, the S&T that sent out Bass and brought in Big Baby would require a few entra hunder thousand of cap space for it to go through, as salaries need to be within 150%. Bass was set to earn about 4 mil, and Big Baby looks like he will get around 6 mil, which is 150%. So, does this mean we still have the full MLE at our disposal??!?!

Seems like we do have the full MLE!

I would think so... the s/t basically is just like any other trade, contracts just need to closely match contracts.

Yes we have the full MLE. We pretty much did a salary for salary deal, but we needed to get a few million under the cap to get it done which is why we amnesty Arenas.

If we got Big Baby in a S&T, we have the MLE.

My take on going under the cap to get the MLE is definitely sign we are going after Crawford.

Then in that case, WOWWWWWWWWWWWWW OTIS! Amazing!! We literally got under the cap in order to be able to Sign and trade for Baby, and stayed under it enough to allow us to ALSO get access to the full MLE. HUGEEEEE HUGEEEE move by Otis. Really showing his IQ here.

Don't forget we still need a backup center. Any MLE candidates at that spot?
