I saw that pic on google, you can see Jay-Z in the pic! I'm sure they will stick with the Black one!

#Magic source tells me they're "probably done" w/ moves or bringing in players, also E'twaun Moore still not official, close though #Orlando
If that's the case, a couple of guys are getting cut. I'd rather try to deal 2 guys to get a 1st round pick out of it.
Not necessarily I think. Some players just might get the D League call until they show more or there is roster space from a trade.
You can only have 15 guys signed on a roster at a time, I believe. That includes the players that can be assigned to the D-League. Don't think it can ever exceed that.

Oh well...make us proud JV.
SVG wasn't exactly the sort to develop--or even play--his youth.
mis-nomer.
He developed JJ into a good player.
He developed Anderson into the MIP.
He developed Gortat into a good center.
He played Courtney Lee as a rookie.
He just didnt play Harper or Liggins. Maybe they just arent good or consistent.

Gortat is a perfect illustration of my point. He was drafted late in 2005, he became a starter in 2011. Five and a half years to develop into an NBA starter. Liggins is a long-term project.
The reason people use draft position as an indicator is that it is an indicator. See this link for a fine article on draft position and NBA expectations: http://www.82games.com/nbadraftpicks.htm
Gortat probably isn't a good example. He was offered a starting role and long term deal with Dallas after his 2nd season - and he'd played a total of 69 games behind the best C in the league in under 13mpg.
We've got a glut of big men, 2 SFs who are over 30 and declining rapidly, and a SG on the last year of his deal who's just been put behind another SG in the pecking order AGAIN. i don't think we could really go wrong by giving Liggins a short deal. but, then, I trust Hennigan's scouting ability and if he doesn't think Liggins deserves a place, then he must have a reason why.

2 MIP, Nelson making an all-star team, helping to develp Dwight, Meer, Anderson, Lee, Redick, Gortat... You're right, SVG sucks with young players

Dwight and Jameer were in their 4th year when Stan arrived, both didnt improve much since he took over, maybe Dwight was better defensively but that was bound to happen with any coach as he was only 22 when Stan came.
Jameer was at his best in his second year, and if he was a full time started than, he probably would have had a better season than his all star year.
Ryan was the same 2 years ago as he was last year, its just that Stan chose bass over him and we couldnt see that for ourseleves, his per 36 numbers we very similar in the last 2 years.
Redick should have been a starter last year, and Im sure we would have won more games had Stan realized that and stopped playing J rich as the starter.
Lee was hands down the best SG we had in 08-09 but it still took stan a while before he let Lee be the stater and often gave Lee's and redick's mintues to keith bogans who was our worst SG that year.

I would love to see us give Jacob Pullen a camp invite. Dude has heart, and reminds me a bit of a less athletic young Arenas or a less speedy DA. Nothing earth shattering, but seems like he'd be a great bench sparkplug and locker room guy moving forward.

Al Harrington – Orlando Magic
Sources near the Magic deny that Al Harrington was a throw-in in the Dwight Howard trade. There is a belief that Al could be a good locker room influence on Orlando’s cast of young bigs and that’s likely true to start the season. However, at the trade deadline you can bet that the Magic are going to try and off-load Harrington on a playoff team and try to dump the remaining years on his contract.
Harrington is a serviceable player and his deal isn’t crazy, so finding a taker for him might cost the Magic a draft pick, but given how many the Magic are sitting on going forward, offloading his contract money might be more important than a low level pick.
Harrington likely starts the season in Orlando, but in February he’s likely somewhere else.

Magic have to pay a team to take Harrington. Everyone knows Denver has been trying to unload Harrington for 3 years now. And, they were finally able to unload him with Afflalo and get an All-Star caliber player back. Now, that is amazing.
