I don't think a team would help us this summer but I don't think Vecsey's premise is wrong. I believe the CBA allows for sign and trades for the first two years of this deal.

For four years and 4.5% raises, yes. The exact same deal they get by simply signing. So there is zero point for Dallas or NJ to do so...and basically zero incentive for the player since it guts the team they are going to of their talent. Is that you, Peter Vecsey?

If that deal does get done, I'm very curious to see what happens with our bigs (obviously one of Bynum, Pau or Ryan would have to get flipped for a guard or very good SF). I would prefer to flip one of them, probably Pau or Bynum for something like Ellis+Dorell, but if we are supposedly going after Calderon...then it would probably be for a SF, maybe Iggy?

my bad my friend made it real quick and sent me the link... i think it's the terminator music that makes it very introspective and emotional... you see these great highlights and super-athletic plays, and you realize this is the guy that could choose stay or leave within the next few weeks, and possibly cause massive change for this franchise depending on his decision... good or bad.

What if he hasn't announced his decision because he has gruelingly trained bears to spell out I AM STAYING with a well choreographed dance routine while Tupac comes out of hiding to rap the bears off the court so Dwight can then give his tear filled I love this city speech.........I foresaw this in a vision, although it might have been the legal drugs out here. Actually the Mavs would start off in the off-season w/ 54,323,089 on the books. Then if they decide to not keep Odom, VC, Wright, and Sean Williams that'll put them around 41,156,385. Then amnestying Marion would give them 32,760,021. I'm not sure if that puts them in the position to give max deals to both Dwight and Deron, but they can always take a pay cut. So even if Deron runs to Dallas, the Magic will still have a lot of work to get Dwight to commit to the team and the franchise.
