There's this thing called trading and free agency which I think can provide us with some point guards, not just the draft.

Why do I feel like this is 2005 ALL OVER again when we selected Fran instead of Granger?

Maybe it's the other way around this time... other teams may end up saying why didn't we pick Nicholson?

I tell you what though I love the fact that Henny drafted two players who have great length and both are very good rebounders. I was a little upset at first because we had a chance at several other players I liked more but I'm starting to sorta warm up to Nicholson. I think both guys will be solid role players in the league with Nicholson more offensive oriented and O'Quinn more defensive.

I hope so.

One thing is for sure, Anderson is as good as gone, unless he signs for cheap. We now have 5 PFs on the team.

not sure. this year's Granger was taken at #16, so we didn't even get a chance to draft some Eurotrash over him.

After watching this I'm happier with our selection. He has the total package of offense and defense. He still needs work. The guy can also nail the 3P shot which tells me even more that Anderson is a goner, especially if he wants more than 6 million a year.

What a great pick, its exactly what we needed......a 3rd Stretch 4!!!

so basically we are gonna convince dwight that things are going to change by not changing anything scheme wise and downgrade at PF (once Anderson leaves), and even worse if dwight leaves we have another useless PF who wont do anything without dwights help

Was really hoping we didnt trade out of the 1st round completely, but after this pick, i wish we had

Unfortunately timing wise, he is a great compliment to Howard. He shoots from the outside , like Bosh, enough that you can't leave him unguarded out there but a true inside player to help howard out.
My 2 cents is worth 5 cents.

This! :)

I have to say myself, I was irate with our selections in the draft and naturally as a human, we react and react wildly. I had to gather myself, I've been up watching videos of both selections and analyzing our team. We have a big team down low now. I'm actually getting an idea of what Rob is trying to do. I like it. I'm warming up to these selections already. They are not stretch 4
s but CAN STRETCH the flow and still be effective. Not only think they are significant defensive upgrades over Orton and Anderson.

How many PF's can one team possibly need?

Some people are definitely on their way out.

he plays defense, has an inside game, and can step outside when needed, but the 3 pt shot isnt the only part of his game. but then, you obviously know more about basketball then the people that have done this for years and are paid to do it.

Quick thoughts.
1. Stop freaking out about pick #19 in the NBA draft, it's not like the NFL. How many of the top 10 guys in the league were picked 15 and lower?
2. There is a reason sullinger fell to 20
3. I only watched Nicholson play once, this year against a good fsu defense. He had 20+ pts and was tearing it up. The guy can play, his game all around is very good (bball IQ included).

I personally like the pick
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

Reminds me of Bosh's game. I really like this pick.
