RT @stevekylerNBA: To clarify... there is no front runner for Dwight Howard... Magic not happy with anything being offered.

RT @stevekylerNBA: RT @Sarahforlife: Andrew bynum is not enough? ---> Lakers won't do it without Dwight committing, so not related.
RT @stevekylerNBA: RT @theFutureMogulG: anything new on the coaching situation with the Magic? ---> They have been talking to candidates, process kept low key
RT @stevekylerNBA: RT @TLN24: No top offers including or excluding the Lakers? ---> Lakers will not do a deal without assurances from Dwight.

I'm past the point of believing anything Kyler says anymore.

Yeah, but in fairness, none of them are wearing their current team uniform with their (presumably) future team hat.
Bad PR move there, but given everything else, shouldn't be a surprise.

Of course they will. More posturing. And Dwight will resign there. I mean, realistically, what are assurances from Dwight worth at this point anyway?

Dwight needs to come and say he will resign with the lakers. Seriously he or Fegan have to know that Brooklyn isn't going to happen!

i wonder what the hold up is on a trade. is it Dwight committing to an extension with any team that isn't brooklyn, or is it the Magic not wanting what's being offered?

Hate trading for bynum in the first place, but to include JJ and not get back iggy? **** THAT!!!
Young is a better player. I dont know why i am still amazed at the over estimation that JJ is given on this board. He is a good but overpaid role player, thats it.

JJ is a good player, but he really disappears when he was thrust into the starting lineup last year. I was disappointed. He is a solid role player and a great sixth man, but he is severely over-rated on this board. But, he has great value since he is such a great team player with his clutch shooting and excellent FT's percentages. Much of what he can do does not show up on the stat sheet.

JJ ain't perfect, but for mine, its his intangibles that you mention, the things he does that do not show on the stat sheet that make him so valuable to the organisation.
A guy that wants to be here, wants to just play his role without chucking a hissy fit, be a leader in the dressing room, and be counted on to hit his shots time after time after time? Guys like JJ are so valuable in a league where, most average players think and demand better and cause all sorts of issues for the team they are playing on.
Rob has it spot on. Players that want to be here and get behind the vision and understand the organisation is bigger than them. Spurs. Thunder. Soon to be Magic.

I bet it's a combination of both. LA is probably saying FU orlando we aren't giving you more then bynum for dwight and your overpaid contracts until we know dwight will stay with us long term. Henny probably is telling LA, sorry we are not giving trading with you until you offer bynum and/or gasol.
And that's what pisses me off about dwight more then the fact that he's leaving us. Not only is him leaving us gonna set us back 5-7 years at the least, the way he's going out is what amazes me. Usually a humble athlete would request a trade, and then simply cooperate with any requests made of him, in this case signing the extention. But this idiot continues to act like a spoiled kid. SMDH

And if D12 doesnt want to say this? Maybe this way LA would have more leverage to negotiate with Orlando by saying that will offer a worse package because D12 isnt commiting to them, but when the trade is accepted D12 will commit immediately.

SPLIT G GS MPG FG% 3P% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG PPG
As a Starter 22 22 32.9 0.454 0.452 0.949 0.4 2.4 2.8 3.0 0.7 0.0 14.8

EDIT: By the way, my point is he's a 15 PPG starter - about what I think you can expect from him. Which is still vastly superior to no-legs JRich at this point.

Um. It sets us back, but 5-7 years? Please. Especially if we get Bynum and he is locked in for the next 4 or 5 years. We lose on defense, improve on offense, may be better when it comes to locker room and chemistry.
It sets us back, but the bigger problem are the most recent deals made by Otis, not replacing Dwight with Bynum.

He plays better as a starter. I said it all last season. JJ is a baller. No he's not a superstar, but he's exactly the kind of player every team would be ecstatic to have.

Im not as excited about swapping Dwight for Bynum as others are because of his knees. However setting that aside for now my other major concern is repeating the mistakes they made with Howard. I feel as though Bynum will make us a middle of the road team so I hope we can get some first round picks from another team and build around bynum with young talent.
