One of the most KD like prospects around is LaQuinton Ross from OSU. Considered one of the top prospects coming out last year but had eligibility issues due to academics so he had to sit out a lot of the year. He should give Thad Matta much needed scoring with the departure of Sully.

Measured 6'7 (in shoes) 228 lbs, with a 7'0.5 wingspan at the 2012 Kevin Durant Skills Academy

Not many players come along with Ross' length and skill set. At 6 feet 8, Ross is a great scorer with his ability to shoot from deep as well as slash to the basket. Capable of getting his shot off at will, Ross also has a great feel for passing. He is improving as a defender and rebounder as he continues to develop physically.

Scout.com Player Evaluation:

STRENGTHS 3-Point Range Length Upside/Potential

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT Intensity/Passion Strength Toughness

One of the most naturally gifted players in the class, Ross has a chance to be very good down the road. He has good size for a wing and can really get hot from deep. Also his wingspan is impressive which allows him to guard inside and out. Ross hasn't yet proven that he can consistently stay healthy or play hard and that has had some question his love of the game, but the talent is definitely there.

This kid is hands down the most EXCITING kid to watch play in HS. If he was taller he would probably be the top recruit haha. Little Nate Robinson reborn.

Also some bad news on him....

Police say Seton Hall recruit Aquille Carr, who's regarded as one of the country's top recruits, has been arrested in his native Baltimore on charges of assaulting the mother of his child.

Baltimore police say 18-year-old Carr was arrested Friday. He faces two misdemeanor charges: second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Online court records do not list an attorney for him and he has a hearing set for Sept. 19.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says Carr was charged in a warrant based on statements from the victim. She was not seriously injured.

Carr is a rising senior and is ranked 95th in the ESPN 100 and 25th at his position. The 5-foot-7 point guard played at Patterson High in Baltimore before transferring this spring to St. Patrick High in Elizabeth, N.J.

That wingspan is crazy.....Looks like he can handle the ball too.....i also heard he barely has any post game to speak of.....and his jumper needs work but he has a high ceiling.....i wouldn't mind picking this guy if we had a top 3 selection.....

no post game that I can see, will need to develop that up, but his handle is great, could see him pick and rolling from high really well in the NBA, especially if he can get a mid range jumper going.

BTW, swishscout has Harkless as the 27th and Nicholson the 32nd best prospects of this year's class. O'Quinn is at #37.

I like Hairston as a SG prospect.....some compare him to Vince Carter.....has a really nice stroke and he's one of those guys that when he's hot he can't miss....nice Strength and athleticism and can create for himself.....although he can do too much at times.....caught having quite a bit of heat check shots......He could also stand to lose a few pounds maybe.....

Julius Randle measured 6'10 (in shoes) 240 lbs, with a 6'11 wingspan at the 2012 LeBron James Skills Academy.

Wiggins, Parker, & Randle may have the most hype as the top 3 picks in the draft in a longggg time. In 2014 we have to get a top 3 pick haha.

Another impressive high school senior is Aaron Gordon. Couple of reports on him:

Scout.com Player Evaluation:

STRENGTHS Athleticism Competitiveness Versatility

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT 3-Point Range Shooting Off Dribble

A versatile and unique four-man, Gordon is a very good defender, who specializes in rebounding and starting the break by pushing the ball up the court. He's got a very good frame that should make him a strong player in college and is a terrific athlete who competes every possession. He's an adept scorer/shooter from midrange and in, although he could improve his outside shot.

The most explosive and electric dunker since Blake Griffin. A truly sensational jumper with awesome power and fluid body control (see video below). Unstoppable on the fast break and attacks the rim with a vengeance. Is developing very good ball skills and has good hands. A willing passer who knows how to find teammates and understands how to play the game.

Has a decent looking jumper and should be capable of becoming a dangerous all around offensive weapon. Uses his athleticism well on defense and has the potential to be a very solid rebounder at the NBA level.

An under the radar PG prospect who will be a freshman at Xavier this year is Semaj Christon. If his shot becomes more consistent his stock could sky rocket because his passing his already there & he has a very tight handle on the ball, also good size at 6'3".

Rudy Gobert Measuremets: 7'2 and 7'9 wingspan, some have him as high as 4th overall in next years draft.

Probably my favorite PG prospect over the next 2 years is Tyus Jones. He reminds me so much of Kyrie. Not an extremely explosive PG, but is just so smooth & always seems to make the right play. He has a great shot & is probably the most polished PG prospect over these next 2 years. Seems like a guy who you could put in the lineup from day 1 because of his knowledge/skillset at the PG position.
