Nice signing.

well, Payton has already shown that he is a very willing passer. Almost wish they had gotten a better shooting PG, to help Payton with that aspect of his game. Hopefully Gordon will help somewhat with that. He better be able to contribute somehow with that salary of his

Good points. Still, judging by how much shooters are signing this summer I guess we would end paying 4m/year for someone like Daniel Gibson. This FA has been ridiculous around the league with all the huge contracts being thrown to role players.

Ridnour will be good for us....I liked Beno Udrih when he was here..a nice distributor/passer. I don't know
why we never kept him.

There are rumblings out of Milwaukee that they are interested in Meer..as a backup PG and part-time mascot, ie. "Beer keg" Nelson

WT:

The Orlando Magic have agreed upon a two-year, $5.5 million deal with Luke Ridnour.

The second year of Ridnour's deal is non-guaranteed.

Ridnour spent parts of last season with the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets.

Maybe I have homer glasses on but I see one of the deepest teams in the league and wouldn't be surprised if they won 50 games.

It'll be fun to fight Detroit for playoff seedings. Stan said, the front office doesn't know basketball and front office said, they wanted a coach that could relate to players. I'm sure both will be keeping an eye on the standings this year. I think we have a better team.

If we don't win in the next two years I see Grant Hill following the footsteps of Steve Kerr and being the next Magic coach.

I bet Ridnour starts with Oladipo, at least to start the season.

I think it is more versatility than Depth. if we lose a starter, I don't think we'll have the fall off like we did last year even if we lose Vuc again.

It's like Hennigan is Master Chess player. He has countered every move the Cavs have made this off season. He will not be outdone that's for sure.
The Cavs got the best shooting guard in the draft, Hennigan counters with Ben "air" Gordan.
Lebron back to the Cavs, Hennigan counters with the equally impressive Frye.
Mike Miller to the cavs, Hennigan counters with Ridnour
Make no mistake the Magic are going for the Championship this year :D

Ridnour had 2 stints on the Bucks

good guy, good teammate
hot/cold with his 3s
very good at 10/12 foot shot
good in PnR plays/situations

some Bucks fans felt he froze out Giannis sometimes

*

i see alot of Oladipo at PG talk
imo, i dont see it
but, with Fournier at SG, who has very good handles and passing, it could work
i wouldnt have Oladipo at PG with any other SG

He was absolutely horrid with us last year, terrible. Hope he can rejuvenate his career with you guys though.

I do like some of the young talent you guys have collected however.

Why is it taking so long for this signing to be official? Was the same with the Frye signing. Nothing on the Magic's website about Luke.
