Wtf media, where are the video interviews from media day and first day of training camp. The magic aren't setting up those interview backdrops just so you can give us quotes from your notepad. And wtf Magic... five months off and you can't give us some good content to watch?

I disagree. Finally this team is showing a sense of humility especially Frank Vogel which I thought was impossible for him based on what I saw last season. The Magic have not accomplished anything within the past 5 years since Dwight was here so I thought it was a bit cringe worthy when Vogel basically guaranteed we would be in the playoffs and win lots of games last year despite the fact we had so much turnover with the roster and coaching staff. Of course as a fan, it pumped me up but reality slapped us very hard when we kept losing over and over again and the team looked like they hated each other on the court.

Now this team is going work hard and develop the right way it seems based on what is being said in these interviews. Remains to be seen if they follow through on this but color me very excited for this season. The character of the team and the chemistry already looks miles better than it did this time around last year.

orlandomagic.com can't even put up practice interviews anymore? I feel like I'm following a minor league team right now.

Yeah, the coverage sucks ass.

Dante having to chase players around the facility during official Facebook feed was pathetic too. PR department sucks major balls so far.

At least Josh Robbins posted some videos from practice. Hezonja had one dunk , that's 1 more than he had last season lol.
Overall i can't recall less coverage from workouts in last 5-6 years. Literally nobody gives a flying F. It's not really suprising, team is medicore, east is cakewalk for two teams, West has 90% of all superstars and Lebron's biggest rival is American president

It's fine if they're realistic. It's far better than what they tried to sell last year. It doesn't detract from the fact that even they don't think they'll be very good. It's just a sad state for the franchise when they can't even aspire for a goal that more than half the teams in the league will achieve.

Of course we do. Tired of losing.

I don't see any silver lining drafting 10-16. But, if we show great improvement, but still miss out then I reckon it can still be a win to me.

Exactly, that's why we should tank for Luka Doncic.

Mario looks like he's one of the fastest guys on this team! I also like how Vogel uses Hezonja guarding smaller guards and making them have to work for theirs on the offensive end with his length and athleticism!

As i've said before..... I would love to see him as our shooting guard of the future. Not cuz i don't like evan of course.... cuz i love what evan brings.... but i believe he can be everything evan is for us and more.

Elf/Mario/Gordon n Isaac/??

is what would like to see for the future as i think at their full potential they can fit very well together at both ends of the court.

I would love to see Vogel utilize Hezonja into a primary ball handler, just like the Houston Rockets uses Harden!

They both are 6'8" with the ability to play pick and roll w/ court vision, plus are both elite shooters! Only Hezonja could have a bigger defensive upside than Harden if developed properly!

I haven't noticed Hezonja actually effectively using that court vision yet, and his elite shooting has yet to materialize. Maybe this is the year, but at this point I'll be surprised if it actually happens. Oh, and he's likely to see more time at the 3 and 4 IMHO than the 2 at this point.

That's because Alex Martins isn't doing his job, instead interfering with rebuild and telling GM what to do.

There's a pretty good write up about Isaac and how he impressed the first day on the team website but yep that's been about it.

After 3 years of talking playoffs including last year essentially guranteeing they would be in the playoffs its about time reality hit the front office. Is it sad? Absolutely, but they must recognize and accept how far this team is so they can actually take concrete steps to improve and avoid shortcuts. In the past we've seen a lot of talk and no action, maybe action will take place now that they have an honest assessment of what they are.

Yep, no talk just go out and do the work and as cliche as it is take it one game at a time. Several of these guys know with new management they're likely out of here if they don't produce. And having better character veteran players will help too I think. Especially a guy like Simmons who's had to work hard for everything he's gotten.

That's nice and all but Mario would have to be a competent ball handler in order for what you are suggesting to work and the guy can't go a couple of dribbles without fumbling the ball.
