It’ll be decades before money goes back to the university, if ever if we stay in our current conference. It’s one large marketing expense that’s also subsidized by the students.

Last year’s run helped contribute to a 10% increase in student applications.

A positive sign, but I already see people getting carried away on social media not understanding that it's not a miracle. Walking around after surgery (likely on crutches with no weight on it) is expected. The fact he can stand at all, crutches or no, is huge (and i'm not trying to downplay it), but I think they want you up and "walking" after these surgeries that deal with blood flow asap as it helps healing.

Good signs for long term recovery though.

Assuming Milton comes back next year, I think he'll be ready for game 1 of the regular season. If Mack were to play good in CCG/ Bowl game, We could have a QB controversy a little, not a lot for game 1 next year.

You have zero evidence/reason to believe Milton will be ready in the next 12 months, let alone in time for game 1 of next season.

This is a good sign but need more sources to indicate that he is at least walking with crutches or something.

He’s not going to be ready week 1. His knee was sideways...

Based on what I know, I would be absolutely floored if Milton plays at all in 2019.

He had to have immediate emergency surgery just to save his leg from amputation for goodness sake. He still has multiple surgeries on deck.

out of all the misinformation I've seen this seems to be the only consistently reported thing. I think we should just be surprised/grateful if he returns at all, yet alone next season. If it were less serious I think we'd be hearing a lot more already, I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason we aren't hearing more is because it's just too early to know

unless you are family or the doctor, you are only guessing. His family has told everyone that no information is coming out.

I am not guessing, believe me.

The school is very much aware of what Milton's condition is and I have a very intimate knowledge of the inner workings of UCF Athletics. I personally worked in their athletic department for several years up until recently and am extremely close with numerous people that are still within the department that have direct access and knowledge of the situation at hand.

Why are you so negative? Clearly, we’re on an Orlando board... it’s VERY possible that a few people here have information about the star quarterback at a top 10 school which happens to be, in you know, Orlando....

Read on Twitter

Surgery to restore blood flow = surgery to avoid amputation.

because my day job is data privacy and security. If his information is being told to other people at UCF, they are opening themselves to lawsuits

then they are very close to breaking HITECH and HIPAA regulations by sharing information with you without approval from Milton or his family.

Good to know that they were able to save his leg and that the nerve is alive. Gives hope but man he has a long road to recovery. At this point I just want him to be able to walk again normally.

Are you sure? My understanding is that only medical professionals can violate HIPAA. I.e. your nurse telling someone your condition without consent is a violation. If you tell me you broke your leg an I tell my friend, I'm not violating it.

My suggestion would be for you to sue the school then.

Otherwise, you should probably just lighten up.

And just so you are aware, the Milton family not sharing the information with the general public on social media doesn't mean they were refusing to share it with anybody.

There were probably legitimately 100-150 people who knew the extent of Milton's injuries by Saturday morning with the information coming directly from the family.
