Nesmith, Nwora, Bey. There are some underrated shooters in.our range.

Defense wins championships, scoring just games. We don't need scorers.

I think Weltman wanted to draft long term projects first and now he will lean more on the offensive side. He said many times he drafts for bpa and potential so i would not be suprised if he deafted another raw offensive.player. Tyler Bey ?

It won't happen. Since being hired here, he has not signed, drafted, or traded for ONE offensive player. They think it's a disease and that games should end with a final score of 50-45.

Well, trade season is officially behind us.

This is always the moment I start paying attention to college basketball and the draft.

I am aware of James Wiseman for the scandal and withdraw from school and LaMelo Ball for being a Ball. That about ends my knowledge of this draft class other than it being labeled a not so great class which I don't pay attention to. There are always gems.

hahaha ... here is the current mock and their projection for Orlando. People should get a kick out of his NBA Comp:

Lol. I bother because I actually love this team and don't except mediocre trash and applaud trading for a nobody when we have so so SOOOOOO many holes. We're gonna get stomped again this year, then re-sign No. 10 for 4 years, 80 million and then get stomped again. Hopefully we fire these idiots in the FO after we either miss the playoffs or get pounded. But we won't, we like mediocrity here, and people actually support it and are okay with it.

The draft is about talent and absolutely nothing else.

If we draft a big man I am 100% okay with it so long as that player ends up being *among* the best available talents when we pick.

* can’t get them all perfect.

Lol. We'll never learn. Just run an all PF's and C's lineup. AG-Isaac-Birch-Vuc-Bamba. Championships. Forget all the very clear and glaring holes though. You don't need perimeter players in today's league at all.

Is that what I said?

Why are people on this board so simple minded?

Why is every move the last move to ever be made?

Nice insult. You've exhausted your two forms of debate on here all in one page. 1. Suggesting someones not a real fan and showing them the door, and 2. Insulting them. Nice!

I'll ask you this, besides Fultz, how many quality moves have been made? And besides Elfrid, how many of Hennigans starters are still starters for this team? I'll wait for the answers.

I'm not defending the past moves WeHam have made.

I'm justing saying what is the point of destroying another thread by replying to every single post with anti-WeHam hate?

Can't we just discuss the draft and the prospects in it?

My point is that it doesn't matter who you want, or who fits best, or who is the best. They won't pick him. They'll always choose the guy that makes no sense. This FO has a history of picking only PF's and C's with long wingspans. The only 2 that panned out for them in so many years has been Giannis and Isaac.

This team hasn’t found answers to obvious problems since trading Ibaka for Ross.

i.e. Orlando's greatest need.

If the Magic hang on to their pick and actually draft BPA, a need bench player will be probable.

Following the Auburn vibe, why not Isaac Okoro ???

RJ Hampton is a name I recognize from the HS recruiting cycle. He is projected at #17.

But it is fun to go back to the mocks at this stage last year and compare them to the actual guys. One prominent page had Ja Morant to Orlando at the very end of the lottery! So none of this means anything.

I haven't contributed to this thread this year, but I have been watching a lot of college basketball. A name I wanted to bring up is Devin Vassell. I've watched essentially every game he has played in this season and he's pretty much the biggest reason Florida State is sitting at #8 right now and tied for the top spot in the ACC.

He's a 6-6 3-D guard/forward who was just named as a finalist for the Julius Erving Award (nation's best SF) and he has a skill set that will immediately translate over into today's' NBA and is a player who could help this team a ton imo. He's averaging about 13 ppg and is shooting close to 43% from 3 but over the last month or so he has really come on and has been averaging closer to 18 ppg. I've seen him start to sneak into the late first early second range in multiple mocks.

Here are some highlights:

Obviously, I say all of this knowing the clownshow that is our FO and how much they hate shooting/offensive talent but I thought I'd bring his name up regardless. If FSU has a deep run in the tourney I would not be surprised in the slightest to see him get drafted in the top 25. He's got a somewhat awkward release and he's not going to be a superstar, but he is the exact kind of player I could see having a 10-12 year career as a starter.

Again, this has absolutely nothing at all to do with what the real draft will look like. That will be especially true in a class like this labeled "weak" which means there are no clear stars outside the top 2-3 names and things get murky. Still, Vassell is already up to the #32 pick in this mock.

With his size, shooting and the potential for another deep Seminoles run in March Vassell could easily earn a first round grade.

He absolutely could be a great target.

Who is the most offensively inept athlete with long arms in our range? Whoever that is, that’s our guy.
