Bacnchero does let Carter play PF minutes. And the two can rotate between positions on both ends.

It will be hot summer league. Chet and Jabari will come for Paolo's head.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Huh? They are both bad 3 point shooters and neither defend the post. They are closer to being similar than different. AG can can also dribble, pass, dunk and not hit FTs.

It's the weirdest built team ever.

Orlando's Rebuilding Plan... Duplicating talent everywhere and hoping it fits and doesn't sink.

You make it seem like this is the final team, like the rebuilding has ended. No, this is a multi year process. There will be a few more years and few more drafts to correct this roster.

We were in the bottom barrel of the league in 3PT% and with the #1 overall pick, did absolutely nothing to improve ourselves in that area. But maybe he's right. You don't need to shoot 3s in order to win in today's NBA. .

Fultz, Suggs, Hampton have to go.
Cole has a decent 3pt trigger, but tries to do too much.
Franz, Bachero and Carter will all compete for drives and touches within the paint.

I guess Bamba is a good fit now. Welcome back Bamba haters!

This is my biggest gripe. A line up with Banchero, Suggs and Fult on the floor at the same time sounds like a spacing nightmare. I wouldn’t be so concerned if I felt our FO was willing to be agressive to build a cohesive team but the WeltHam duo have been straight up conservative with making any moves and I see no reason to not expect more “evaluation.”

I’m a big believer of Markelle, but I really do not like the fit with Paolo. I don’t think either guy is particularly valuable off ball and will have to make the choice between one of them at some point. If anything a guard who can spread the floor has to be top priority going forward or there is just no way this is successful no matter how much Paolo develops.

There's no intelligence involved in building this roster. It's the worst compiled roster in the NBA by far. Just grabbing guys to grab.

It's Chris Webber 2.0 with defensive limitations but we don't have Penny 2.0 to trade for.

You must really hate Paolo to call him and AG similar, lol. This no shade towards AG but this is a poor comparison. Other than both being below avg three point shooters they are nothing alike. AG is the far better defensive player while Paolo is the far better offensive player. What most like about Paolo is his offensive creativity and playmaking. AG has never been known for his offensive ability. The magic tried for years to make AG a playmaker and they failed. Hell, most of AG points in Denver come off the ball. I don't know if Paolo becomes anything special but give the guy a shot first.

I will never really understand prospect worship.. kinda reminds me of the political situation in the U.S. too.. everybody needs to go 100% for someone and everybody else sucks. It's totally fine to prefer prospects but like damn.. can't we give Paolo a try? Just like we should've given Jabari or Chet a try if we drafted them too?

The only thing that will help me recover is day dreaming about all the trades we'll need to make in order to make this work.

Lol cmon dude, PB isnt that bad in 3 pt shooting. He can make them. Sure not as accurate as JS but probably better than Suggs and Fultz.

TBH i wouldve expect this kind of doom and gloom response by rob but surprisingly he is chill about it.

Again, you make it seem like the rebuild is over. You make it seem like this is the team the magic will ride off into the future with. No this is a process, the rebuild is far from over. This process could take 3 to 4 seasons, multiple trades, multiple signings, multiple drafts to get to where they want to be. This team will look drastically different in 4 to 5 years as they put the pieces together. The rebuild literally started last year and you think the team will contend tomorrow.

It took the bucks 5,6 seasons to put proper shooters around Giannis (a guy who can't shoot) so they can contend but you want the shooters today. Did people really think this rebuild was going to be quick and simple. Give it time.

Yeah well I'm not really about being a flip flop just because he's on the Magic. Is he the worst player in the world, of course not. There's just not a lot to get excited about knowing he has to improve in so many areas.

ANd-1

Gordon is a combo forward. Banchero is a combo-big. These are not similar players at all.

What I like about Banchero's game as that Orlando (finally) has a player that can average 6+ FTs per game.

To be frank, this is why I am not a fan of Banchero on this roster.
