I hope we get the #1 pick so badly so we can flip it for someone like SGA/Haliburton. We have an such an impressive young team, so it’s better to just add someone ready to contribute to wins from day 1 than take a risk on a draft pick.

I don't think you're going to end up getting another #1 pick but regardless you never casually flip or trade a #1 pick especially not in this draft.

If Lakers win lottery for Pelicans it will be just epic.

December 2011 - Chris Paul trade is vetoed to Lakers.
2012 - they select Anthony Davis first overall
2019- Lakers trade Ingram, Lonzo Ball and picks for Davis
2023- Lakers first overall pick become Victor -goes to Pelicans

+ Pelicans become the ultimate what if team in NBA history, when Zion & Victor are in streetclothes 50% of the time.

One too fat, one too skinny

If that happends, it will be also be remarkable as almost all players involved in those trades are injury prone

Pretty impressive and against a top tier team too.
Funny I just saw a YT video of how he destroyed his career.
This guy was #3 recruit in a class that include Holgrem, Panchero, Smith, Duren, Hardy, Houstan, Baldwin all in the top 8

If i remember, there was some news that he did a Bouknight ( gun in the car or something ) plus the Shabazz effect ( meaning toxic dad in the background destroying his career )

hopefully he learned his lesson because you don't get too many chances at this....he clearly has talent, just keep your head down and trust the process and maybe just maybe you might get drafted somewhere

So far, Nick Smith & Jett Howard (Bulls pick) have my interest.

If you’re talking about Scoot I think it’s unfair to assume he can’t adjust to a specific team concept. Matter of fact I think that applies to any player perceived as ball dominant. Guys at this level are ballers, and I think one would fit just fine alongside PB and FW.

Early days but George looks like a natural fit for us as a SG.

Wasn't directed at any single player; just an open question.

Wemby & Scoot are no brainers. But if we're 3 & below...what direction do you go?

And I agree, ballers adjust. Hell, look at ball-dominant Cole trying his best to play off Paolo & Franz. I guess if he can do it, any one can, lol.

I know everyone here wants Wembanyama or Henderson which i understand because they are great.

I think George or Nick Smith would also be a great fit with the Magic.

Not sure how I feel about Gradey Dick yet. Yes, shooter and great feel for the game but something is keeping me from being all in on him. Definitely keeping an eye on him.

Wow both Dick and especially George look amazing right now, just what we need. I am a lot lower on Scoot and Victor than consensus. Playing Scoot next to Banchero would be a crime on offense and Wembenyama will be on skates a lot on defense propably more than Bol Bol.
If top of the draft looks like George (11 on tankathon ?!?!?!?!) it will take a lot to pry that pick from us.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !
