Magic Trade Bamba for Pat Bev....WHY??

Am I in the minority when it comes to really hoping we keep Pat Bev?

No issues with this deal. At the absolute worst, we clear some money (I think? Can't remember the specifics of Bamba's contract) and pick up a second round pick for a guy who is our third-best center.

You are probably the only one who wants to keep Beverly, I can not stand Beverly and he is an ****, I hope Magic buys him out

That Orlando officially asked Beverly to Not Report clearly states that we will not see him in Magic blue.

Even the official Magic trade presser states that he is not to report.

I love defense and wanted to give Bamba every chance to prove himself given his legendary measurements and potential on that end. He got to start all of last year and was just abysmal with effort and IQ. To his credit, he was better this season at times but still displayed his normal self most of the time. It was a bad pick in the end, but we gave him every chance to succeed. Just move on. Who cares what we got in return. A non defensive C who gets pushed around and all he can do is pop 3’s is not worth much

I keep hearing LA is best place for Mo, but that doesn’t mean he’ll flourish there by any means - just that he’ll have more playing time to be his lazy self. There’s nothing indicating he’s ever wanted to even play more than spot minutes. His low motor has always been his problem, even when “engaged”. I can’t think of a single player who’s motor changed from a simple change of scenery, how about you guys?
