This is what i call a win-win. Betting on himself. He has probably the highest upside of the top 8 in that draft. Too bad he is trending NOT to reach that but who knows... stranger things have happened.

I’m a fan…he’s been sporadic, but explosive upside - like you said. Good candidate to bust after getting the big deal, I guess.

Houston winning offseason, again.
They know they will at some point over next 2 years land megastar, so they keep majority of roster on shorter, tradable deals.

I was all in for Utah Jazz signing Markelle to 25M per year deal suggested by a fan here. I guess there's still hope.
