(( in my opinion ))

I’d like to see us trade for him but he is overrated by many. He is a fringe all-star. He is not a perennial all-star point guard like Dame or even Brunson.

I don't know that he's overrated...nobody's calling him a superstar. He's really good...much much better than any of our guards - even if you project reasonable further development.

Michael Pina of The Ringer speculated...

Jonathan Isaac, Anthony Black, 2025 1st round pick for Fox.

Which... if that's all it would take...

I don't think that's outrageous...if you believe in AB. I'd do it - not sure if SAC wouldn't get a better offer. I happen to love Isaac's fit next to Sabonis, so if he became part of SAC's vision, this makes sense.

If you make that trade, then you could turn around and make one of those proposed Bobby Marks trades and really have a nice roster with more scoring and shooting.

Trading Suggs is like trading your heart and soul.
We need to keep Suggs at all costs!

I feel like they'd require more than one first round pick if the only contracts going back are Isaac and AB.

I think the price will be less than people think, but this seems a little too light. Still there's a price where any player could make sense, and they could gamble on Fox at a price near this.

Kings could probably flip the picks or one of AB/Carter for a wing at that point and end up with a better roster than they have now, so I get why a deal like that could be appealing to them. Their fans seem to think they play better with Monk/Ellis as the guards as is anyway.

If the Kings offer Fox for Suggs straight up, Weltman will drive Suggs to the airport himself the same day.

Weltman makes terrible decisions so maybe this is true.

Suggs isnt in trade talks. Team looks terrible when he isnt on the court.

Suggs's on/off rating this year is 3.3, which is good but far from great. Goga and Franz are way ahead of him in this metric this season. Last year Suggs had a negative on/off. I love his defence, competitiveness and hustle, but he shouldn't be considered anything close to untouchable in trade talks, especially given his injury history and reckless style of play. If he is all we need to trade to get a star scorer, it's a pretty easy choice for me.

Numbers aren’t everything. Suggs is far from untouchable but I certainly would not trade him unless we’re talking about bringing in a legit top 20 player. Fox ain’t that.

Suggs is lightning in a bottle, you don’t mess with that. When I watch games and see him high five and chest bump fans he gets me fired up at home sitting on the couch lol.

People are gonna drag you for this.

I love Suggs and I'm not trading him, but who the heck knows what our team looks like without Suggs. Who knows what it looks like without any individual player. Our record got tanked by the recent stretch where everyone was hurt at the same time. Too many injuries and weird iterations of the team to judge anything. Like Goga's numbers look good for instance, but he played during the easy stretch that Franz carried and sat during the brutal recent stretch so he had no chance to tank his numbers. Too much small sample noise. If you're saying the team looks horrible without any individual player this year it's probably based off some mythical stuff in your head that isn't really happening on the court.

Do I think Suggs is going to have a very positive effect on winning going forward? Absolutely I do. Nothing has happened the last two years to say they are horrible with him off the court though. It's facts, but you are going to be dragged lol. Heck I'll get dragged for even saying this even though he is probably my 3rd favorite player in the league lol.

It's funny seeing homerism posts trying to make Fox look bad or undesirable. Can't shoot 3, barely an All Star,, etc. He shows up he'd become the best point guard we've had since Penny on the first day.

Suggs cannot be traded becasue of his extension, by the way. And in the off-season, there is a poison pill on him being traded.

He's a Magician to close out this season. And virtually certain to be on next year's opening night roster.

I learned that being dragged by some certain posters is more of a validation than anything :p
You can observe trend through the years.
I love Suggs. Off the court he is my favourite player but he is out of control a lot. His emotions are burning him up. He is also very streaky shooter which is a problem next to Franz and Paolo.
We have 3 similar players in Suggs, Black and KCP and only 1 is worth something real.
The market for PG got a little shallow and we dont know when will be the next occasion.
Suggs, Isaac + 1st was viewed positive by some Sacramento fans.
We should at least consider it. If we wont take some load off from Franz and Paolo, oblique can be least of our problems.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I have been a lifelong Magic fan and was at the very first pre season game in 1989 against the pistons and if they trade Jalen Suggs I'm done being a fan. (I also highly doubt they will)

Same. I will no longer be a fan of the Magic if they trade Suggs in the next 2-3 seasons. Not worth my time.

I think the only way Suggs gets traded is if they stall out in 3 seasons time. A lot of things said about Suggs now were said about Marcus Smart at a time and the Celtics eventually upgraded from him and won a ring.

I personally really hope we can win a ring with this core and would like to give them several chances before making a big move like that, but I don't think people who want to move Suggs for Fox have a terrible opinion. I wouldn't and I don't think it will happen anyway though.

In a few years maybe he could be traded. I also do think Suggs needs to bring the reckless down just a hair. His body (no ones body lol) can take the way he plays. Love the heart though.

Well... if all reports are true this is all moot. Fox won't resign with SAC and apparently he want to got to SA
