I'd like either Kurt Thomas or Udonis. Kurt brings a lot more veteran leadership & can play the 4 or 5 spots but Udonis is younger.

He meant that if you don't want Blount, you're not getting Udonis Haslem...

according to the fan base...

Smush would be where i draw the line as a GM, especially for the Magic...if you picked up Blount in the Haslem deal, depending upon what you traded you'd potentially end up with Dwight/Battie/Blount/Foyle/Cook/Augustine/Haslem holy smokes man, biggest front court in the history of the NBA...

Smush would give us added depth at the 1 spot, which is where we will most likely be losing some guys, plus while he may be (Please Use More Appropriate Word), he plays defense...

If we can get Battie back in time for the playoffs and we acquire Haslem, that would give us a pretty formidable front court with Cook playing behind Udonis and giving us an added 3 point threat from the bench from the PF position, causing some potential mismatches.

I definitely like that idea.

You COULD have Miller for your expirings BUT the way Miller is playing he is just too valuable to us...

IMO Haslem is NOT worth Garrity JJ and A pick.... it should either be Garrity and JJ or Garrity and pick...

The difference in leverage between the other teams and the Magic is that at worst the Magic's expirings merely expire, but the other teams may miss an opportunity to move an undesireable contract and/or acquire talent/draft picks. So in that sense, the Magic have a little leverage.

Also, while the Magic do want to improve the team this season, they're pretty much assured home court advantage in the playoffs already, so they aren't trying to make a playoff push and there aren't really any players that the Magic could get that would make them competitors with Boston and Detroit for this season.

No, but they need to be looking at where they go with their roster after this season. If they don't plan on keeping all the expiring contracts, then they have to find ways to improve the roster -- or at least keep the level of talent it has now -- with only the MLE, their draft pick (yeah, right) and the LLE to work with. That's not going to replace four or five guys who have performed well for you.

West isnt the GM of the Griz anymore.

No, he's a consultant for the Grizzlies now. And you know as well as we do that he and Heisley are friends and that West would do just about anything to help the Lakers. I know the Grizzlies and Lakers are trying to downplay that, but no one else in the NBA is buying it.

You guys can keep Blount. The Magic have no interest at all in adding him to the roster.

Are we not going after a PF?

Can we not sign someone to the MLE?

Can we not sign someone like Thomas to the minimum?

Can we not sign Jason Kidd when he is a free agent?

Exactly your claim means nothing, so SFU.

You love getting on here and criticizing people for no good reason and obviously in your own little world you think your right about everything. You and Cammo are the exact same.

Do us all a favor and get your head out of your a$$.

X2 on all the stuff that Cammo said about not being able to get Kurt Thomas and Jason Kidd for the pittance that you expect them to come here to play for. AND add to it that you think Corey Maggette is going to take a $3 million a year pay cut to come here to play. Those all are pipe dreams, and they are not going to happen. If you think they are, give me some examples in the NBA where things like that have happened. So before you go around calling people out, think about the things you are saying. You present a logical argument, and I'll won't call you out for it. But none of those things are logical.

Add that to the fact that you are ripping the team for not doing more and then you keep saying that these are the things that you expect them to get done, and I'm calling you out for how ridiculous that is.

Kurt Thomas is too much like Battie for me to take on. Plus, he's expiring this year anyway. We can just sign him in the off-season. Haslem would be great but I'm not looking to take on Blount. Brad Miller would be damn good. Chris Wilcox eh..not a big fan but I guess he won't be that bad.

Something For Nothing: There has been a lot said this week about the Magic and their quest to add some size before the post season. The reality is the Magic are flawed. They are terribly flawed because without Tony Battie, the Magic cannot seem to stop anyone in the paint. Chalk it up to guys out of position or too much offense on the floor, but the Magic need some beef and they know it. Otis Smith is as coy as they come about making deals, he never shows his cards and almost no one knows what he's really thinking

Not likely IMO...He is playing his old All Star form...He is the most important key for our offense... We run the offense through Brad...

I would love a Miller/Howard combo because for starters, he did played with Howard in Team USA couple years ago and Howard liked Miller's game... So, the chemistry is there...
