Everytime someone has said something similar, the news ended up being something we all knew ..

It's probably something like "Stan Van Gundy questions Chris Duhon's choice to become a basketball player" or "Daniel Orton & Justin Harper got new suits"

No chance Deng & Boozer are traded for Gasol. Gasol is an upgrade to Boozer, but Deng is clearly the 2nd most important player on that team. The Bulls and Thibs view Deng extremely highly, and quite frankly, wouldn't deal him unless Dwight was coming their way..but not for Gasol.

Exactly, it could easily be an "educated" guess. A lot of reporters/bloggers do this all over the internet, not just for sports, but for tech, etc. Sometimes you're right and that earns you more credibility, sometimes you're wrong and the rumors are likely forgotten by then. If Dwight ultimately stays with Orlando, nobody is going to remember Broussard said what he's been saying because it will be a shock to everyone, including us Magic fans.
