Well, twitter is twitter but when you have respected journalist from major networks agreeing, you have to think that there is some truth to it. Plus, its not like this situation we're in is proving them wrong or anything.

That would be sick if we got Monta. Just gamble on Monta/Dwight.

But back to this scenario. I think if we traded Dwight, BBD, Jameer, Von for Lowry, Dalembert, Kmart, CLee, Morris and picks, we got a great deal. Kmart, Turk, Duhon all expire together, Lowry is the franchise/core PG for the next 5 years+ and CLee and Morris are our future wing rotation with Hou, ORL picks. We also got a shot at what Harper, Clark, Orton look like without Dwight, BBD. Turk and Kmart are the tank commanders. But we have young young guys in all positions and when we finish drafting more pieces until when Kmart, Turk, Duhon give us our cap space together, then we can make a major acquisition immediately or planned later by using 1 year deals. This time with young players, rookie salary scaled players around our core of lottos/cap space/Lowry-Ryan-JJ. (I see a trade after Hou-ORL of ORL trading J Rich for a TPE or prospect, and a nice mid 1st pick to add to our picks stash).

Guys,

I think Dwight was gone even if Monta was acquired.

My feeling is he would have not committed getting the deal to fal apart.

When he said he did not want to go to Chicago because it was "Too cold", anyone with common sense should have known he was gone. What the hell does he expect in Brooklyn?

I do feel Dwight is making a mistake but he's unfortunately going to have to learn that.

It does hurt that we thought he was the perfect non-big market player who suddenly believes he will be a rock star in a big market. It's not going to happen and I think he will regret it.

As bad as this hurts and it will get tough not seeing this team in contention anymore, life and basketball will go on for The Orlando Magic.

HM, do you think the Magic move him or keep him after the deadline ?

I agree with you that he's gone but I dont know if the Magic want to believe it.

I agreed with you until the final sentence. How dumb are we that we continue to root for a team with no chance of winning. The NBA has turned all but about 7 of it's franchises into minor leagues and the fans just sit there and allow it.

Definition of Sources: A term most commonly used by Media Outlets to justify their ideas or ideas from people that want to promote their agenda. Sometimes, people who use ideas as facts create discorse in order to achieve their own personal agenda or the agenda of those people's "sources" that paid them.

Jarrod said that he thinks Dwight will be traded due to the Monta deal falling apart. Put the percentage at 65-35.

It could be that he is gone. However, the narrative that he is gone is shot full of holes and inconsistencies. First it was that he requested a trade so he is gone. Now it is that he is content to play out his contract and opt out this summer and sign with NJ as a free agent. So he took his trade request off the table?

Too simplistic and inconsistent. Leaves out too much of the indecision and varied options facing Dwight as he nears a huge professional crossroads.

The media saw the frenzy that the LeBron saga stirred up and in my opinion are trying to recreate that blockbuster.

MagicBBallOnline @MagicBasketball

I can 100% confirm that Dwight Howard has still not told the Magic executives of any commitment one way or another.

CLee is so overrated on this board, it's worse than Jameer was back in '09

Would you guys do Ray and Rondo for Dwigh/Hedo and Duhon?

Then we could try to pair Rondo with other star in the future.
