Now that one of the best NBA Insiders has officially said that Dwight is gone, let's start thinking about who we can realistically get in a trade.

Let's assume that the Nets DON'T get a top three pick and therefore don't have a draft pick this season, are we really going to trade Dwight Howard for Lopez, Brooks, and future picks?

REALLY? That would be the worst trade of all-time.

Magic get : Varejao, 2012 pick Cavs pick, Thompson
Lakers get : Howard
Cavs get : Hedo, Bynum

and add fillers

If I was Orlando in that deal, I would demand one of Houston's 1st round picks this season.

definitely wouldn't hurt.. I mean what I just posted is the core of the trade feel free to add in picks/filler contracts that you feel fit

It's quick rebuilding, we would suck this year and add a big lottery talent next year, while having a significant amount of cap space.

I think d12 lost respect from many Orl players for not supporting them during the play off serie and i m pretty sure Orlando+d12 have already agreed to part away.

Let's look at realistic trades:

D12+hedo+fillers for Bynum+gasol

Gasol to Houston for lowry+martin+fillers

S&t Ryan to sac for tyreke+Garcia (expiering in 2013)

Left assets:
Nelson: might opt out but he doesn't he ll be a great 6th man co captain
Jj: I don't mind him staying but his non guaranteed contract could help us getting more assets

Orton, we could resign him to back Bynum
#19 , we could use one of the above assets to move up

With D12 gone, this is the best trade IMO

GEt beasley in S&T for JR+Fran
not sure what to do with JJ, maybe trade him for a 1ST+frontcourt player (with one remaining year contract)

If the Nets get #1 you definitely do that deal with no hesitation. If we shed the bad contract along with Dwight, we'll be big players in free agency. Then we could just sign Bynum instead of trading for him. Anthony Davis/Andrew Bynum frontline. Wouldn't be done yet but that would be a good start.

the lottery needs to end so ppl will stop dreaming of the 7% the nets get the top pick. would u be happy with kidd gilcrest? we would need to tank several years for consecutive top 5 picks and hope we turn out like the thunder, thats the only way to truly rebuild.

i was the main poster pushing to trade dwight to NJ at the deadline last season. I tried my best to put marshon brooks name out there and swayed many peoples opinion about a trade with jersey to start the rebuild. Far from a dwight homer

for the love of god stop it, just stop it! you've turned on your best player because of sources, sources that said dwight was gone already and they were wrong!

Almost all of us could understand why dwight would want to leave... but, changes are being made that could alter this franchise for the better. A more capable GM and possibly a better head coach are on their way. Dwight loves this city... but he's got good reasons to not love this team. They are trying to show him why he needs to stay.

LET THE OFF SEASON HAPPEN! and try not to hate a guy who has done nothing but pour his heart and soul into this city.

Stop losing sleep over some speculation articles, bitch about Dwight all you want after we trade him or confirming about trading him. Until then, he's still a Magic player and we don't know what his current intentions yet.
