How bout JRich (20m/4 yr) to Cleveland for Luke Walton (10m/2 yr) and a protected future pick?

They get a solid SG on a reasonable long term contract (who would never otherwise sign in Cleveland), and round out their lineup. We get cap relief.

Depending on Lewis' ungarantueed last year, Emeka's 2014 ETO, and 2014 PO, the Hornets just traded 20-47mil of money for a second round pick and 10-22mil... I mean I think Ariza's contract is semi fair and Emeka while overpaid is a very solid center, it's amazing how much money the Wizards just took on with Nene's deal on books too.

I don't know if the Wiz are trying to make the playoffs already or are maintaining a cap floor while gaining more lotteries, I'd hope the latter because if they actually let Emeka and Ariza get off the books ASAP and stop doing further deals like that maybe their mid lotteries will start to increase and start forming into a young core then. I think the Hornets did this in a simpler fashion and came out like champions in the deal. They might have to reach a cap floor for sure now but they have space for Gordon and throwing out super fair deal offers and 1-2 yr deals. That cap space can also be used to take on bigger salary right back but instead of gaining a second rounder, they'd also have 1sts abd maybe lotteries if they take on deals right back; a la Thunder getting 1sts from their cap space/TPE's.

????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If this is true, the Hornets just made one helluva deal there. Wow. Great GM work by the Hornets.

Sarcasm Alert:

This Trevor Arizona guy... Why have I not heard of him till now?? Is he that good??

On a serious question, why would Washington do that trade having Nenë already?? They have no need for Okafor and Nenë.. Good deal for Hornets bad deal for Washington if true

That seems like a fair trade. Though I'd cut Walton before he even knew he was traded. Can't stand that bitch

Hornets saved A TON of money & can buyout Shard. Saw somebody mention D Will to the Hornets....

Deron Williams
Eric Gordon

Anthony Davis

& they would have the #10 pick to fill in a SF or C

They have Carl Landry if I remember correctly so they could slide him to SF and use that pick to draft a Center. Pretty solid team

Could find themselves in the playoffs next season after having the #1 pick.

Kudos to their front office & a little luck of course.

I'd ship Al-Farouq Aminu and pick #10 and see how high it gets me. Aminu was a #8 pick two years ago, and still has a world of potential. If I can somehow turn that package into Andre Drummond at #6, then I am thrilled moving forward with a core of Deron Williams, Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis, and Andre Drummond.

i don't think the hornets will have enough capspace to offer dwill the max- they still have the cap hold for gordon and shard getting bought out doesn't mean it doesn't count against the cap

Man a report out that the Hornets are looking to trade the #10 pick for either Paul Millsap, Evan Turner, or Eric Bledsoe.

Not sure I would agree with that at all.

I'd trade that pick for Evan Turner in a second if I didn't already have Eric Gordon. Turner has the potential to be a colossal mismatch at SG. At SF much less so.
