The hype for Parsons is that a lot of Magic fans are Gator fans. That basically sums it up.
Bingo

According to multiple sources Magic would likely get Anderson Varejao plus picks and prospects.

ORLANDO – At this time next week, the Dwightmare may not be over.
This is a change from yesterday’s report, which detailed Orlando’s Dwight Howard would finally be moved to Houston, but league business delays keep pushing back the timetable. Houston is creating income for the league coffers by forcing the Knicks deep into the luxury tax three years from now with a toxic offer for Jeremy Lin.
As a result, New York is annoying Houston by avoiding the offer sheet.
The Magic are interested in clearing Jason Richardson, Glen Davis, Chris Duhon, Quentin Richardson’s and Hedo Turkoglu’s – contracts, likely in that order despite the fact Turkoglu is due the largest salary, 11.82 this season and a $12 million player option that will be taken in ’13-’14. The thought is his expiring deal could be an asset at that point.
Kevin Martin’s $12 million expiring contract will be the major piece the Rockets send over, but the Magic would be able to choose from a collection of prospects including local product Chandler Parsons, Patrick Patterson, Marcus Morris and 2012 draft picks Jeremy Lamb, Royce White and Terrence Jones to accompany him in the deal. Future draft picks will also move, with the lottery-guaranteed selection the Rockets are getting from Toronto in the Kyle Lowry deal being especially coveted.
If Chicago allows Asik to walk, sources say the steal could still be re-worked to appease Orlando enough to end the saga.
Reports that the Rockets aren’t willing to take on so much salary if they’re also dealing considerable assets can be taken as a shrewd pre-emptive strike from a negotiation standpoint, but if Houston whiffs on both Lin and Asik, it really has little choice considering the franchise’s desire to utilize its assets to land a franchise-type player like Howard.

Lets stop the Nelson bashing. At 6 Million I love him leading our young players as we rebuild.

Sorry guys, I'm not trying to troll your board, just trying to understand what magic have been offered that's better than that. we are just having fun with this anyway so don't get upset with some of my posts here, thanks.
The bare minimum Houston would do is something like Martin, Lamb, Toronto 1st for Dwight/whatever. That blows yours out of the water.
Kevin martin (im not exactly sure why you would want him)
one pick that will probably be in the teens
and this year's 12th pick
vs.
last year's 4th pick
+4 first rounders over the next two years
am I missing something here?

Exactly!
I was ranting about this late last night. Houston is desperate for Dwight.
Has any team EVER tried to land one player as long as the Rockets have been after Dwight??
This is merely Henny showing the rockets what they MUST beat to get Dwight. The Rockets will cave because quite frankly... what other option do they have?
They are stuck in mediocrity - this is all they can do to get out of it.
Here's what happened...
Rockets: Here's our offer.
Magic: Not good enough.
Rockets: then beat it.
Henny called their bluff and went out and is attempting to.
They WILL break.
varejao aint a bad big. prospect wise maybe they offer us thompson and their 2 right to international players in Milan Macvan(6 foot 9 265 pound PF/C) who lacks Athletic Abilities but is a good player which is why i think hes be like a Big Baby davis kinda player. Ejike Ugboaja is a Small Power forward/center(6 foot 9 229 pounds) whos pretty worthless as it seems hes not interested in coming over.cvMagic wrote:The Effect wrote:Probasketballdraft @Probballdraft

Correction:
the magic will take anything BUT Anderson Varejao plus picks and prospects
