Inappropriate =/= impossible ;) But I understand what you were trying to do with the example. I'm not that familiar with US employment law, but here (NZ) there are limitations to what an employer can add as an internal policy. You last example would not stand up here, unless you explicitly agreed to that policy in the contract you signed (even then I am unsure such a policy would actually stand up).

It is probably hard for some of us outside of the US to understand the gun side of things, as that would be illegal here for sure.
However we need to keep in mind the context of Morant's situation. If I had got drunk (not illegal) made a mess of myself on social media (not illegal, potential risk to damage image of employer, which I would have agreed not to when signing contract), agreed to under go counselling and improve myself, then once again go and get drunk and make a mess of myself on social media (not illegal, likely breaching my contract) I would expect a suspension or something similar.

It is remarkable how passionate you are about interests of a multi-billon corporation you have no connection to and happy you feel joining the herd that attacks Ja who is undoubtedly a good human and arguably the best basketball talent on Earth.

I'm not passionate about their interests. More just bemused by the concept that employees are obliged to do follow any old policy a company thinks up.

Sure, Ja may be a good human, I'm not to judge as I don't know him, but good humans can be led to do stupid things by other less good humans. Also not attacking him, just think his recent decisions are misjudged and don't agree with them. If he is a good human, would you not want/expect/assume him to be doing good human things?

I'm not actually sure what your goal is in this thread? Do you want everyone to agree Ja is lovely, being unfairly treated and should continue on his current trajectory? Honest question, I haven't read back far enough.

I am just responding to the responses. That’s it. Not trying to convince anybody. I am old enough not to have any illusions about people and their desire to feel self-righteous when they gather in a herd to judge those who don’t follow the herd rules.

lol. dont agree with me, you must be part of the "herd" and fawn at big corporations. im guessing you have never worked for a big company and signed or looked at employment contracts or agreements. you are looking at any comment on the entire board that talks about Morant and disagree with news and police reports. He is just misunderstood. he didnt mean to punch a 17 yr old in his back yard. it was a misunderstanding that he and his crew scared an employee into a locked room, banged on the door and yelled that he was waiting until he got off of work, merely because his mom didnt like the way the employee talked to her. his crew didnt mean to threaten a high school student and break their phone. all fake news or misunderstandings

again, why do you care what we say on the Orlando board?

Agree with tiderulz.
It is also possible to have no love for big corporations but also find Morant's recent escapades moronic. Not really about picking sides here.

Doc was a terrible coach since our days, I can't understand how he won a COY with us.

In 12 playoff games, he’s averaging 15/5/4 on 43/40/86 splits. I will say, he is playing 35mpg so the numbers are a bit inflated but the efficiency is pretty damn good for a guard.

Doc was never good coach anywhere.
He was on verge of getting fired in 2008 with Celtics as well.

Easly the most overhyped nba coach ever.

I think they've got to take Jarace Walker to be their physical defensive cornerstone at their weakest position...but, yeah, that's not Wemby...for all of the wailing and gnashing of teeth about "POR stealing our pick", talk to DET and HOU about tanking. I'm happy with our season and our draft lottery outcome. We chose the right path and gave the fans something to cheer for and now we're poised to win the summer.

I said it here recently, Boston got away last year with hero ball 3s, they were going in but that's not sustainable and here we are a year later and Boston still has no offensive versatility. And now their defense is quite worse.

You have to admire the Miami organization, they find guys who are undrafted or 2nd rounders and make them a sum of all parts better. Wish this Orlando team had the cojones the Miami organization has.

Every.Single.Game. Every single game Celtics have at least 1 period where they have no clue what they are doing on offense.
Than they have one peroid where nothing works but they make shots they have no business making and somehow stay in a game.

About Heat. They were 6th worst offense in nba ( very close to Magic) and in playoffs they are 3rd best. It's impossible to explain and rational. Inject Nuggets- Heat finals in my vains
