I dislike this mentality tbh.

Why not sign the 57th pick to a two-way?

Just because a guy got drafted doesn't mean he's gotta make the 15-man roster.

a second rounder is guaranteed nothing correct? Doesn't necessarily take a roster slot...as opposed to any frp...that's why we can't just ship Jett to the G League and take him off of our cap.

Why WOULDN'T you just draft every second rounder you could and let them duke it out? (not talking about starters, just filling in the bench.

Yeah...I read sturdy mature body, relentless motor, can't shoot, near 7' wingspan

I wonder if this is who we were going to draft if we didn't pick Jase.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

You could say this about reacting to literally any pick good or bad.

Doesn't change the fact that nobody knows if it's 'bad pick' or not.

Howard Mass saying he's not on his board is one thing and perfectly fine. Actively getting mad at players nobody has scouted is just funny to me.

I was wrong on Franz but I've been right on others.

I can't we believe we jumped into that spot and didn't grab one of the two primo Centers...either he's got a big trade or no trade coming (for a big)

The fact that actual scouts who do this for a living love Noah Penda is what I trust btw. Doesn't matter if fans like him or not. It's to be seen how he'll pan out versus others.

If we were going for that type of player, would have preferred Adou Thiero, but hopefully they prove me wrong with this one. Like always, they have more information than we do.

Had to go back to the meta, couldn't help but go back to length and defense..... He does have a good feel for the game but I don't buy the offense yet

It's ok to disagree. Just do it constructively.

We will know in a few years how this pans out.

The Ringer had Penda as their 18th overall prospect.

Sam Vecenie had Penda as his 21st overall prospect.

John Hollinger had Penda as his 21st overall prospect.

Getting mad about the player? Nah.

Orlando spend a #18 first round pick this time last season on a 3/4. Paolo and Franz play a million minutes a game.
We have 3 Centers and none are elite two way players and well paid.

None of that is good news with this pick.

And if you're dying to get rid of Jonathan Isaac... now they can do it without much concern.

Return to Orlando Magic
