Let him make sure he really wants to do it? If he'd signed it when they get off the plane and then changed his mind when he got home, we'd have a whole load of extra drama coming.

Actually yeah... on second thought... it's better to be classy.. don't be pushy with Howard atm... he's already in a fragile state of mind ... just be respectful of his space/time, and let him come into the office, and sign before 3pm on his terms. Let's go!

While we're in the business of absurd apologies, I demand an apology from Chris Paul for leading us on the past 3 years.

Sure, there was never any solid evidence that anything was ever close, but I fail to see the need for that. We were hopeful and it didn't happen. That seems to be reason enough these days.

Very true, but at least the Magic played it the right way - if they let him sign it when he was tired and probably emotional, then the team could look like bad guys if he changes his mind. They did the right thing, told him to go away and make sure it's definitely what he wants to do - if he comes back now and says he doesn't want to be in Orlando next year, I am sure New Jersey will bite the Magic's hand off to trade for him.
