Re: @WojYahooNBA report that Kevin Pritchard will become Pacers GM ... it appears Pritchard is out of mix to be Magic GM.

If Pritchard becomes Pacers GM, does he hire Penn as assistant?

We need to speed this up.....

maybe but if i had a shot at running my own show then i wouldn't want to be an assistant just yet....

Official Speculation Thread (Pt. XXV: Offseason Edition)

I won't be able to take this team as seriously trying to win a title if we hire Bower. I just can't see it. Troy Weaver or Dennis Lyndsay I can see as championship GM's because they're on teams that are VERY good at scouting and building teams. I can even see Kevin Pritchard as a championship GM because the Portland team he built years ago could have been VERY good if the injuries to Greg Oden and Brandon Roy didn't happen.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Can't say we're surprised about Pritchard becoming Indy's GM. That was always a possibility and a better situation too.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins

Finalists to replace Otis Smith could meet with the DeVos family early next week. No hire will be made this weekend.

Evan Dunlap ‏@BQRMagic

Reminder that Jameer Nelson has a week from today--that's June 15th--to inform the Magic if he'll exercise his player option for 2012/13.

man i know it's a delicate process but.....it's takes this long to get a GM in place...Then we go coach hunting with interviews and such.....i think when draft time comes around we won't have a coach which will suck considering when we're drafting we have to take in consideration what philosophies our coaches will implement then draft accordingly......

Ken Berger‏@KBergCBS

Pacers exec Kevin Pritchard withdrew his name from consideration for Magic GM job due to promotion with Pacers, source says.

What need would we fill at 19 that free agency couldn't solve? If we get Lindsey or Weaver though, I want who they want.

well at 19 the BPA is probably going to be what we need anyway....PG or a SF so it doesn't really matter to be quite honest....

F'ing BS. Bower still in the hunt

Alex Kennedy‏@AlexKennedyNBA

It sounds like the Orlando Magic GM search is down to Dennis Lindsey, Troy Weaver, Tom Penn and Jeff Bower.

We shouldn't draft at 19 at all......we should move up to get the player we need and Dennis Lindsey wants :D

Watch us draft another PF.

And watch it be one of those undersized tweener forwards too  ... those 6'6-6'8 kind

i'm all for moving up but do other teams want what we got other than Dwight? if we somehow pry NO 10th pick and keep our 19th as well then that's the best case scenario....BPA at 10th would probably be idk Perry Jones?

Return to Orlando Magic
