I agree Nelson is better, but Watson has been a backup his entire career so you can't really compare stats...

Lin is a cash cow, Houston will want to pair Dwight with him to get even more $$$. This is good for us imo.

not even sure why Magic would do the Cavs deal. I suppose their mid first round picks would be somewhat interesting I suppose and Thompson had some pretty good games last year when he was allowed to start. Then again between what Cleveland and Houston can offer I still think the magic are better off taking an already proven All Star In Bynum. Too many chances to take with no top end talent coming back from either Cleveland or Houston.

That makes my point for me.

Nelson has been an All-Star and led a top Eastern team into the playoffs for years.

Watson has always been on the bench.

If he was better than Nelson, he would have played his way off of the Bench.

With Lin, I doubt Houston takes back Turk and Duhon (bad contracts and they suck) but I could see them take JRich and BBD. If we get a few players and picks (Parsons, Lamb, Jones, Houston Pick, Toronto Pick), we go into tank mode and they have:

Dwight
BBD/Donatas
White
Jrich
Lin

And they still have cap space for next summer (nearly a max). They could look like this next year:

Dwight/Donatas
Smoove/BBD
White
JRich
Lin

not bad at all, but they need to up the ante on the reported weak offer.

Knicks arent gonna match Lin if they sign Felton. On hoopshype I read Felton is tellin peopke a sign and rrade w knicks is almost done aNd the Knicks r done w Lin. This is all comin from Felton.

But those teams got better. Us retaining the same players is no game for a roster improvement. I wish the Dwight thing would hurry along so we could do our best to get better. CJ would have been a decent backup here. I just think we are missing out day by day on having some solid additions to our teams.

Technically the Knicks could match the offer sheet. Would they need too? No. There is no way Raymond starts over Jason,and Lin Starts over raymond and no GM is paying a guy 25 mil for third string.
