Melo will be 30 next spring, I'd go after him if he'd sign a 4-5 yr deal. Dipo, Melo, Vuc, could be a solid core, but Dipo, 1 of Wiggins/Parker/Randle, Vuc has a longer potential with Melo already near 30.

Stay younger. Melo wouldn't get us on championship level; pretender level maybe. It'd be similar to bringing in Shard. It'll get us close, but not close enough. Trying to get not too off topic, but back then we should've stuck with building through the draft and we might still Dwight IMO. Need to learn from that mistake and keep building through the draft.

That is, however, unless we can bring in John Wall then spend away, heh.

No. Melo isn't going to win us a title. I would much rather we keep accumulating assets until someone better comes along than to chase after a volume scorer. Don't Hate Carmelo, just think that points are overrated and because of this, he will always be overpaid.

I'm not saying melo is the best or anything, but if you surround him with a good team you can be a contender. What players in the NBA do you think would "win us a title" and be realistic dont say lebron or durant

Sad to say it, but we should be looking at the next generation for the star we need. We just have to be patient. Surrounding Carmelo with the right talent would require way too much luck. Basically, a team would have to win the way the Mavs did 2 years ago. Melo would have to play the Dirk role and play insane offense while everyone else played physical D on LeBron and made open shots.

If we already had the Chandler and Marion and Kidd, I would be all for adding the scorer. But at this time next year, our team will not be in any position to splurge on a guy who will compete for the scoring title while we win 40 games.

Melo kills ball movement, doesn't rebound as well as you'd like and his defense is always hiding.

I don't see him ever leading a team to a Championship.

Stay on course.

I'm with Skin on this one. We are rebuilding the right way and need to continue to do so.

It doesn't matter who you put around Melo, he doesn't pass the ball! Black hole on offense plays no defense.

Carmelo is not coming here anyway. He is exactly the type of player who goes to big market cities. He'll stay in NY or go to LA.

how about the Orlando magic trade jameer nelson and arron afflalo and glen davis and e'twaun moore.
and the sacramento kings trade marcus thornton and demarcus cousins and Patrick Patterson and jammer fredette.

and here is the realgm trade checker trade id # 6313396

and here is the espn trade machine http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k6lusep.

tell me if that is a bad or a great idea trade and tell me why you like it and why you don't like two?

I'm really surprised at the amount of teams that are actually "TRYING" to win this season.

Philly, Boston, Phoenix are scaring me with their smartness. Minnesota, Sacramento, Charlotte, and New Orleans are doing exactly what stupid teams do... no surprise there.

Wait... Philly traded Jrue for MCW and Noel, right? Nvmd. It's cute to see them try though. LOL.

like I keep saying, boston is going to surprise this season. they are keeping rondo. they have Gerald Wallace, Jeff Green that rookie playing lights out and a great bench. they are going to be competing for that last playoff spot imo. the worst record is going to between us, the suns and the 76ers. i think the suns are better than us right now, and the sixers are worse than us, but that can change if affalalo, davis or jameer is traded.

I like the signing of Andrew Bynum to the Cavs if he can somehow get healthy and play some games for then this year. I'm sure they did it smart and protected themselves every which way possible so not high risk for them on pretty much a 1year trial. I've become a huge Kyrie Irving fan and by no means be onion a Cavs fan I'm 32 & a magic fan since Shaq was drafted. But I'm excited to see what they could do together. W Waiters Thompson & Varejo they have pieces. Not sure who their 3 is but they should be fun to watch on League Pass. But if course that is a huge IF. I have very very little confidence for Bynum to play a full season or I mean finish a season but good luck to them.

How much do you'll think Samuel Dalembert would be worth?

Any new news on Brandan Wright?
