I own Mr Fegan an apology for the fabricated quote I posted last night :-)

If it wasn't his family, wasn't fegan than who does that leave? His manager, I don't buy that.

Now the question becomes...

Do WE make any trades today?

This changes very little about this team.

1) We still lack a go to scorer
2) Dwight is NOT a closer (Yet)
3) Once teams employ the "Boston Philosophy", and the threes stop falling, we are right back where we were.

We need to make an impact trade TODAY if we hav any hope of moving past the 1st and 2nd rounds.

Candidates include:

Monta Ellis
Josh Smith
Steve Nash
and of course......DERON WILLIAMS

If you think about it Fegan should want Howard to stay in Orlando. If he signs there, Howard gets an extra 30+ million, meaning Fegan gets an extra 2 million. I'm just saying.

Also ESPN is a joke. Howard should apologizes to a team he isn't on? That is rich. I guess if they would have tampered more they could have got him. Sorry guys for giving you the massage with no happy ending.

Nah, I asked him who was pro-Nets and who wanted Dwight in Orlando. He wouldn't answer that out of professional courtesy since he has to work with many of these people, but when I said I got the feeling Fegan was landing the criticism when it probably wasn't him trying to get Dwight to NYK, he said "You are a smart man".

That's the thing (which I think I said it in a post earlier today) - athletes today are surrounded by SO many people, all with an opinion and some advice to offer. Some will simply have Dwight's best interests at heart, and some will be self-serving. I believe Kyler when he says Fegan wasn't the voice in Dwight's ear trying to get him out of Orlando.

While I would have agreed a week ago on that.....this domino creates a WHOLE different league-wide ballgame. Supposedly he is going to sign at 12:30 now, which only gives them 2.5 hrs to make other moves. Not enough time. Had they had all of this morning to work the phones (or maybe they are?), maybe we would've had more offers?

Bucher is a CLOWN, if they didnt tamper, they never woulda had a chance.
Magic should STILL drop those bombs on them
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Ellis? He is off the market.

I think we will make a minor trade like trading for Bledsoe or Beasley. Just minor adjustments.

Tough luck I say for the other 29 teams; who most of them won't be making a deal with us anyway.

From my understanding, the Magic are still working trades that include Howard if he doesn't sign and other Magic players. I wouldn't be surprised to see us make a move around 1pm EST to 2pm EST today once Howard signs the wavier.
