Trading with the Lakers has to be our last resort. Bynum is damaged goods.

Houston is our best trade partner. I'm fully just waiting for the whole Lin/Asik contracts to get resolved before we make the deal.

The way that ESPN is gushing over this LA-ORL meeting on their show, I'm pretty convinced this is all a tactic to place pressure on HOU.

If Bynum is damaged goods, what is Dwight?

Bynum stayed healthy throughout a lockout shortened season and is getting the Kobe knee-surgery in Germany..I'm not sure it is right to call him damaged goods

I've been warning those in denial for years on here and elsewhere that he does not care to challenge himself by vaulting to the next level - even though it's been there for the taking. He cares way more about being around family, friends, people who speak his language, his culture, familiar location, etc. There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm just saying it's been obvious for quite some time. I'm glad he didn't come this year because he's not even that good in his last prime years and his heart obviously would not have been in it. At least it's over now... no way anybody wants this fool here after his next contract.

I'm fine with him not coming over but I don't agree he is scared of the competition. His wife wants to live in Spain and that's where he's staying. Same thing happened with Hedo, Melo, and many other married men.

You didn't save the trade so we can't see it.

The trade won't show up but here is the trade.

Houston Gets: Gasol

LA Gets: Howard, Turkoglu, JRich, BBD & QRich

Magic Get: Bynum, KMart, Dalembert, Lamb, Parsons, Toronto Pick.

Houston Gets a big man under contract and keeps their own future picks as well as Dallas's. They keep 2 of their 3, 2012 picks and can go in to the summer and get a good free agent to play next to Gasol.

LA gets their man and depth

Magic get Bynum who might or might not resign and worst case scenario if he walks they have Lamb, Parsons and a pick to show for Howard.

Houston can't complain because they are not giving up much at all to get Gasol.

trade doesnt work dalembert is not a rocket or laker[/quote]

Ops Dalembert is just a means for CAP SPACE as the Rockets would have it once they renouce the players they stated they would renounce.

What a dumb, dumb statement.

Tell me how it makes sense for a team trying to win the title this year to trade for a guy who can't run at this point?

Because as we all know... championships are won in November. Not in May / june when Dwight would be healthy.

How is he anything but damaged goods? Bynum has been injured more than healthy. He's had serious knee Injuries multiple times.

Saying he's not damaged goods because of 1 healthy season is asinine.

What exactly is the situation with Lin? I saw a couple of days ago there were reports of confusion to when the countdown for the three days to match was to begin, but exactly how much more time does NY have to match?

This is the trade I would like if we have to deal with the lakers. Gets Dwight to the spotlight so he can stop crying, and keeps the 13 year old trapped in a 70 year olds knees away from our team. Win/win.

Bynum is injury prone. Dwight is an iron man who has been injured once his entire career. Bynum scares you every time he plays because you are just waiting for him to go down and not get up.

I have direct confirmation from a Houston Rockets source that Jones has not signed. So no ifs ands or buts, he has not signed. So chill people.

Rough framework for a trade?

BBD has to go 2. We won't get Jones cause he signed. Other than that we good lol

He isn't signed. RGM trade checker is messed up no ?

HOU hasnt sign a single rookie, they r not stupid

As for BBD, why do u wnat him gone, the bad contract r Q+Hedo+JR

Duhon will only cost us 1.5M$ next season
Hedo might be too big to swallow for any team now but will only cost us 6M$ next season
Q+JR (even if i think he d be easy to move) r the one to dump

I would have ranked BBD as probably the player after JJ that I would not trade on this team. He is a leader on and off the floor. Something that Dwight is not.

Or just split it in to two trades.

1st trade -
Lakers Get - Howard, Hedo, JRich, BBD & QRich

Magic Get - Bynum, Gasol, McRoberts & EBanks

2nd Trade -

Magic Get - KMart, Lamb, Parsons & Toronto's 1st pick (& negotiate it to be the 2014 pick)

Houston Get - Gasol

3rd Trade -

Magic Get - Rip Hamilton & 2014 First Round Pick of Chicago.

Bulls Get - JJ Redick

We go in to the season with a roster of:

PG: Nelson, Duhon
SG: KMart, Hamilton, Lamb,
SF: Parsons, Clark, Liggins
PF: Nicholson, Harper, Ebanks
C: Bynum, Goose, O'Quinn

Have future assets of Toronto's and Chicago's Picks. And TWO trade chips by the end of the season in Hamilton & KMart.

Get er Done Rob!!!

Come on... sure, his wife may want to stay home, but he's the money-maker... the multi-millionaire. He can go wherever he damn well pleases and his wife would likely follow and adjust. Basketball gave them the life they have, so if he truly wanted to challenge himself, he could and would have. Don't put this all on his wife. He doesn't have that fire to give up his comfort zone to play at the highest level.

Alright i'll say it for one last time.
Nene was a free agent. Houston had capspace. They wanted to trade for Gasol in order to pair him with Nene who would only sign there if they got Gasol (He didn't name Gasol, but wanted a good player) So they went out and got Gasol. But the deal fell apart and Nene resigned with Denver. Right now, Houston has no obligation whatsoever to go ahead and trade their youth and picks for a 33 year old making 17M per year.

How long until these trade rumors are up to 4 and 5 teams, 11, 14 players?
