This is Derrick Rose we're talking about, the 2011 MVP

And nobody is comparing jameer to rose. Adding rose would completely alter the way they're playing which could ruin their chemistry and momentum.

Like who? Delfino and Garcia are gone this summer anyway. Do you mean Brooks?

I doubt the Rockets traded away assets to the Kings just so they can unload young talent for nothing. And, I think if the Rockets decline all their team options, they have enough to sign Dwight outright. Then, they could just cut Donatas Motiejunas for a little extra cash.

The only thing they traded of value was Pat Patterson. if the only thing between them and a third star is trading Robinson, consider him gone.

They still have to fill out the roster. I just doubt they dump TRob unless it involves a sign n trade for a star player.

Disagree completely, it's not as if their chemistry just randomly came together in the last 2-3 weeks. They were/are 5th in the east, they are not as good as people are making them out to be. I would not be surprised if they don't win another game against Miami.

Looking at the top spenders in the league....Brooklyn is amongst the top three....locked in at over 76 million dollars invested into 5 players. After an early exit this year....i'm sure they will be willing to shed some cash. of the 5 players.....Kris Humpries is making 12 million dollars guaranteed. We can flip them turk and his comparable salary to them...subsequently being waived...relieving them of 6 million in debt and the added luxury tax....for Kris humphies and their 22nd pick. His expiring contract can also become an asset by the trade deadline as well or we can just wait out his contract...while he will still be a much more serviceable player than turk.

I'd be all on this.

Could even help us nab a Noel/McLemore and then gamble on Schroeder?

They would get rid of TRob in a heartbeat if it allowed them to get Howard.

i disagree somewhat in the "his expiring is an asset". Who got traded this past year as an expiring to a team? It isnt the asset that people think they are. It can be in the right situation, but that situation isnt around 90% of the time.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 1h
Phoenix has hired Celtics assistant GM Ryan McDonough as its new general manager.

He's 33.
Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 58m
With hiring of Boston's McDonough, Suns direction is clear: No more stopgap short-term free agents, rebuild through multiple picks in draft.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 55m
First job for McDonough in Phoenix will be to hire a coach: Expect him to find a bright, young assistant to grow with a full-blown rebuild.

Any of this sound familiar??

Yeh, Bobcats have been trying to rebuild thru the draft for a decade.

Of course it sounds familiar; look who he hangs with....
He’s part of a new breed of talent evaluators who have been making inroads into the highest level of the NBA in recent years. His peers include men like Sam Presti in Oklahoma City, Masai Ujiri in Denver and Rob Hennigan in Orlando -- men who have already made the jump to running their own franchises. McDonough may get that chance one day as well. "He’s very good at what he does," Celtics coach Doc Rivers says. "He’ll be a GM. There’s no doubt about that."

In THESE playoffs they've found a working formula. Adding a player who hasnt played for a year and who needs the ball in his hands to be effective would change how they are playing in THIS YEARS PLAYOFFS. While I wait for you to find where I said "their chemistry just randomly came together in the last 2-3 weeks" I will say that I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win another game either. Miami is the better team and throwing Rose in the mix doesn't change that this season.

Rose is on a whole other level Defensively and as a floor general than Meer or Nate Robinson. Plus, they would be splitting time while their coach is very good with his rotations. I don't think the Bulls miss a beat with Rose.

If it works for everyone then that'll be too easy. It works, you just need a little luck and a GM who knows what he's doing. Many teams rebuilt through the draft successfully or used those assets to gather stars or proven players.

really? Chicago has the answer to Miami's weakness. Better play at PG and bigs that can cover Miami's bigs and cause problems. Miami is like 39-3 after all-star break, the only losses were to NY while James/Wade sat and then a loss to an undermanned Chicago team to break their streak and again last night. And last night was without their best perimeter defender in Deng and a good defending guard in Hinrich. I say the opposite, I would absolutely be surprised if Chicago doesnt win another game against miami.

There was a good stat brought up today on Mike & Mike. Against teams this year that play strong defense (Indy, NY, Chicago, Memphis) Miami is just 5-8.

chicago is massively prone to having low scoring nights. Noah isn't a guarantee to get you 20ppg every night, Nate is erratic, and Butler only scores when he's got a hot hand. i wouldn't be surprised if Rose came back just to give them some instant offense (without damaging their defensive cohesion), and i wouldn't be surprised if he played much more passively because he will be conscious of elevating what they already have. Chicago is a smart team, i think they're best poised to handle a late addition than any NBA team not named the Spurs.

Chi lose the series 4-2 imo, would like to see them take the series with a D Rose return.

On the deals, I have long thought of the Humphries deal, maybe we could take back Wallace and flip them Davis for the defensive 4 and get a 2014 pick in return? Wallace of course could be/is expendable. The trick would be then to find him a suitor is sit him because we don't want him stunting the young guys growth
