Eastern Conference all stars in 2016-2017 or 2017-2018 at SG, who you got?

The wiz are looking at trading one of their picks. What do we have for the 2nd pick?

If both Noel and McLemore were on the board then i would probably trade Harris or Harkless for #3.

Oh my. Harris averaged almost 20 points a game and you'd trade him??? Not to mention Hark who is just getting started at 19 years old and is already giving us glimpses of what he can do. I wouldn't trade them for BMac and Noel straight up. Are you being serious?

I would trade Harkless for the #3 pick and i would consider trading Harris as well depending on how high our scouts end up being on some of the people at the top of the draft. No one knows the value of the #3 pick yet. Also, i wasnt too impressed with Harkless. Harkless seems like Ariza 2.0 to me. I am very high on Harris and so great potential in him right after his first game. The thing that worries me about Harris is that i dont know if he is a 3 or a 4... im not 100% sure he can play either as a starter in the league but i think he can. That is what next season is for.

Funny because your Ariza comparison is probably the best one yet on Hark. I could see him panning out like that but I am hoping not. I like Harris's leadership way too much to move him though.

He's got a better chance to be an allstar than Burke does.

dont see personally anything wrong with the mclemore pick. but i like burke as well.. if burke was a cant miss pick i could understand people getting mad at grabbing mclemore but his only real problem in college was that he wasn't assertive, and that's not really a bad thing when it comes to the nba where he'll have better spacing and teammates that can make plays happen if he doesnt want to be aggressive.

also, we're not going to be good next year. we'll have a top 10 pick, probable top 5. best case scenario we're terrible and get wiggins, a great case is that we'll get a good player still (smart) or another pg.

smart / mclemore / harkless / tobias / vuc or something would not be a bad young core at all.

Its too early to make assumptions like that since we don't know yet but its possible that he can improve his handle and his overall game. If he does then yes he can be an allstar. He has the shooting touch and the athleticism to do it. He is only 20, still has a lot of time to improve and prove himself.
to me it's going to take a lot for him to get to that level imo. He's not really a creator and to me that's not changing but that might not necessarily be a knock. What is a knock is his mentality dude is not much of a leader and he doesn't have that killer instinct.

Way too passive imo to be a number one guy. To me at best I see a fringe all-star I.e Monta Ellis

Paul George had that knock on him coming out of school as well. Not trying to say he will develop like George, but you have to factor in the situation he was in as well. Some guys aren't comfortable coming in as freshmen and leading older guys, plus the fact he was mostly a post player in high school didn't help.

I'll give it a shot:

Generally you don't draft players just for what they are, you draft them for what they can become. Players mature, grow their game, add skills. Maybe mac can do that.

I'd still rather see us draft Porter personally, but I'd be ok with Mac.

If MCW is still on the board at 13 I would be all over trying to get that pick. I think there's a chance for him to be an impact Point Guard in a few years, if he has the drive to succeed. Not sold on Schroder, but I do know a lot of folks on this board think he's a stud.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 3m
Masai Ujiri has agreed to a 5 year deal for $15 million with Toronto, league sources say.

It may only be a matter of time before somebody lobs Henny a ridiculous offer....

(depending on how long it takes us to become relevant)....

I wonder if Denver will take a look at Scott Perry or Matt Lloyd...

They may just look internally, or see if any Spurs/OKC guys look like good options.

$3M a year is a rich offer??? I would've just stayed in Denver if I was Ujiri.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Most GM's only get 1-2 mill a year and some like 500,000.

#Magic Assistant GM Scott Perry is listed by @WojYahooNBA as a potential candidate for the newly vacant GM position in Denver.

Sweet! I knew Perry was pretty highly regarded. It's only a matter of time before Henny starts losing some of his main guys.

what does this has to do with my statement? i didn't say anything about Burke, to me Mclemore does have a higher ceiling than Burke but currently he is not better imo they are on par at this moment. Why do people act like Burke has no upside while it might not be sky high like a Noel he has room to improve and can get better. If it's just potential people want then i'd rather have MCW quite honestly

I know it's selfish but my wish is for our FO to stay together at least until we get this thing turned around. Everyone wants their name on the door but I hope Lloyd and Perry are willing to finish (or at least get further along) what they started.

2017
East- Dwyane Wade barring injuries
Demar Derozan (27 yr old, in his prime, always improving.)
One of Beal/Wiggins/Selden.

West- James Harden barring injuries
Eric Gordon/Oj Mayo???? - possible depending on career paths.
One of Wiggins/Selden

I personally have high hopes for Derozan because of how much he's improved throughout the years. He's shown a new aspect in his game every year, and by his prime i believe that he'll have it all together.

Shows you how weak the SG position is.. I think McLemore can be a difference making SG in this league. I also think that Beal will surpass DeRozan very, very soon.

Return to Orlando Magic
