Ok, I tried lightening the mood. But ya I am depressed. There is no saving this situation. The way I saw this is Otis called Dwight out and put the hate on him for wanting out. Dwight did what any of us would do after being thrown under the bus and gave it right back to Otis by saying he was the reason hes walking. Dwight's relationship with this organization is unreparable, and other then firing Van Gundy and Otis and calling Dwights bluff Orlando's only real option is to unload him now and go for a high pick......which is why the big baby and J Rich signings make no sense. Honestly I am with Dwight on this one, Otis cant put together a sentence let alone run a team.

That is great. Otis IMO needs to get on the phone and look to Iggy and Ellis to this team. If he wants to trade Howard, try everything else first to improve the team for the future showing Howard we are committed (IMO we already have, but whatever).

You wait until the end of the season also because then you can see what draft picks are where.

Of course if he some how gets Iggy and Ellis on our team, I think we go at least to the ECFs, if not the finals this year.

But the Lakers were able to get the grizzlies to help them will that one-sided deal for Gasol
do you think any team will help us in a trade to get a decent player here after Dwight went public with his trade demand?
the only thing i can think up is Minnesota sending us Beasly

Hall of famers who never won championships but stuck it out with their teams and tried? I respect that sort of dedication more than some player who successfully ring-chased, like, say, Kevin Garnett. Or Dwight, should he win one anywhere else he plays. It's fairly gutless.

I miss the loyalty and dedication.

Oh well. I guess that's quaint at this point.

Karl Malone signed with the Lakers at the end of his career "Ring Chasing" while KG on the other hand was loyal to a fault to Minnesota. I'm with you though, guys like Dirk and Duncan. Loyalty is gone.

We were actually mediocre and had a 1.7% chance. We drafted Brand when we won the lottery, and Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler a few years later.

i don't see us getting Pau Gasol for an expiring and Marc Gasol. we don't have an expiring, and we don't have a young Marc Gasol.

instead we've got JRich for 4 more years, BBD, Larry Hughes, Von Wafer and a plethora of other difference makers.

we don't have the facilities to keep Dwight and convince him to stay.

Howard is a fake christian like most people who use god as a comp out are. "It is in gods hands". Every time I heard some one say that I want to punch them in the face.

I believe the best thing to do right now is trade Dwight get the most out of him and just tank the this year. The draft class is very strong and having one or multiple picks could do a lot for our future. I mean getting one of Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones, Anthony Davis, Andre Drummon, or Jeremy Lamb would be great. If we could stack up on picks in this and next years draft we could make a young team that could grow into something.

I really don't think so, but I'm just telling myself we are in basically the same exact spot the Lakers were with Kobe. If ya'll think the NBA gifted them Gasol, maybe they'll gift us CP3. I really don't know. I highly doubt it, but don't know.

He didn't want to talk about the markets, it's a decision he made for him?
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.

i posted this deal on the trade board, but screw it, i'm throwing it out here too:

ORL
in: Al Jefferson + Ibaka + World Peace + Harden + Odom
out: Dwight + Turk + Anderson + JJ

LAL
in: Dwight + Turk
out: Bynum + Odom + WP + DMorris

OKC
in: Bynum + Anderson + Liggins
out: Perkins + Ibaka + Harden

UTA
in: Perkins + JJ
out: Jefferson

Jefferson
Ibaka/Odom
MWP/Harper/Q
Harden/JRich
Nelson/DMorris/Duhon

IMO, that team can step right back into contending in our current system. Jefferson could fill Dwight's role on offense, Harden is the team's second scorer, Ibaka/MWP/Harden are the glue defensively.

plus, we set OKC up to be a stronger challenge to the Lakers.

that would mean they're not favouring their golden child (LA) by denying them Paul.

besides, the owners would call bull on any deal that send Paul to Orlando. we don't have the pieces to make that happen even remotely fairly.

Return to Orlando Magic
