In the interest of getting this back on track, I propose the following three team trade for discussion. It is based on the rumored three team trade discussed on earlier pages:
Orlando Out: JJ, J-Rich, Orton, Q-Rich, Ish Smith, 2012 1st round pick
Orlando In: Monta Ellis, Steven Jackson
Golden State Out: Monta Ellis, Udoh, Beidrins
Golden State In: Bogut, J-rich, Q-Rich, Ish Smith
Bucks Out: Stephen Jackson, Bogut
Bucks In: JJ, Beidrins, Udoh, Orton, Orlando 2012 1st Round Pick
Orlando Lineup:
PG: Monta Ellis, Nelson, Duhon
SG: Stephen Jackson, Von Wafer, Liggins
SF: Hedo Turk, E. Clark
PF: Anderson, J. Harper
C: D. Howard, BBD
Why For Orlando: Obviously to appease dwight by getting two players he has said he would like to play for. They give up a lot and completely change the look of the team but still find a way to keep a couple assets in Nelson and Anderson who can be used in other moves if necessary
Why for GS: They get their big in Bogut. They are forced to take back J-Rich and Q-rich but they are two players who I think would help them and they would be happier taking back than Stephen Jackson. I think their team improves as they get a legit center and a backcourt of Curry and Thompson with Jrich off the bench makes more sense than having a backcourt of Curry and Ellis. Ish Smith gives them a third string PG who was with them earlier in the year so has a basic understanding of their system already
Why for Bucks: They definitely are the ones who would most likely turn this down. The reason for this trade is they get some value for Bogut and get rid of the bad influence that Stephen Jackson is for their team. They get Udoh who isn't bad, JJ who can start at the two and is a solid player and shooter. Beidrins provides them with a defensive anchor inside who may benefit from a change of scenary. They also get an expiring in Orton and a first rounder in what many consider to be a deep draft. Not a great return but for an injury prone center, it isn't a bad return.
I think it could be beneficial for all teams involved. Due to chemistry issues and a lack of practice time, I don't think it puts Orlando in a better place to compete this year but provides them with a better future outlook and convinces howard to stay at least for another year.
However, I'd still look to move Jameer and Anderson in a trade for Nash or at least move Jameer for for a SF. Maybe Jameer, TPE, and 2014 1st for Beasley, A Randolph, and ridnour.
what do you all think? would the bucks and GS be interested or is this a non starter?
