I can't see us using tpe now, all top fa r gone and more team need to dump salaries

Josh Robbins (@JoshuaBRobbins) tweeted at 0:59 AM on Thu, Jul 11, 2013:
The #Orlando #Magic are not in the market to sign #Dallas #Mavericks free agent C/PF Brandan Wright.

I was and still hope he uses the TPE in some way just because I like the creativity of the trades he comes up with. Maybe just like the Dwight trade he is waiting for someone to become tradable?? Oh well. I was used to Otis letting TPE's expire so this wouldn't surprise me.

I can't see any scenario where someone would need our tpe help

Wright was the only fa I thought would fit our team and need

Also, keep in mind that we now have another competitor in TPE land...Golden State can pretty much offer anything we can.

I'm guessing that Philly feels that there are enough teams within a 10hour bus ride that they can get well over 50+ games out of him.....compared to Houston that is a little more isolated. gonna be interesting to see how he responds on a new team. haha

He should not have declared for draft. He lost my sympathy when he did not even want to play for Houston's D-League affiliate. Lost cause, spoiled ****.

Why take on the headache and the distraction because that's all that he will bring? He has some skill but I don't believe its enough to warrant the risk of the guaranteed contract he has. Plus he is trying to challenge Dwight and Shawn Kemp in the baby making department.

We probablly wont see any moves until closer to the deadline imo. Honestly, Orlando isn't in a rush to do anything and rightfully so. Some team trying to go deep into the Playoffs will covet players like AA, BBD, and Jameer assuming they're healthy fans just need to be patient.

On Cle and the Bynum thing, they are opening themselves up for a major distraction in the background if he doesn't play or does play and then suffers more injury problems, which with his arthritic knees is very likely.

Per WT
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228822/Billups-Agrees-To-Two-Year-Deal-With-Pistons

Chauncey Billups has agreed to a two-year deal with the Detroit Pistons.

Billups was Finals MVP for the Pistons in 2004 and remained with the team until November of 2008.

Crazy. Probably wants a FO job when he hangs them up. Still trying to figure out how Smith is going to do playing SF.

Smith isn't playing SF. The only way that will be necessary is if you expect Drummond and Monroe to play 40 minutes per night. I expect Monroe and Josh to start up front and play between 28-35 minutes per night while Drummond comes in and plays hard for aroun20-25 minutes per night. I love Drummond's game, but he is still raw and Detroit knows he isn't ready to be counted on for 30+ minutes every night.

Smith was a SF when he was younger, he can still play SF.

in small amounts. most of josh smiths points come from the inside which says he isnt a good Jump Shooter so they would need a stretch 4 or 5(monroe can play either) so they can allow him the inside.

thats like saying Dwight can play PF still cuz thats what he did when he was younger.

Smith is 27, its not like he is 35. When he was younger he was still a poor outside shooter and he was playing SF so I don't know why people say he can't play it now. Atlanta has been playing small ball for years, they have Horford playing center and he is not quite suited for it, which is why they had Smith at PF.

because hes much better as a Post player as opposed to an outside guy. the only way he plays SF is if they want to play Drummond and Monroe together for 30+ mins a night.

He played 17% of his minutes at SF last year and it's not like Atlanta had a bunch of better option on the wings. Josh played SF before the Hawks figured out how to use him and they he blossomed into a borderline all-star playing PF. His hook shot is better than Dwight's and he is one of the best shot blockers in the league. He can handle and pass great for his size, but his outside shot is not a good idea. He is basically this generation's version of Lamar Odom. If The Pistons want to pretend they have the 09-10 Lakers with Drummond as Bynum and Monroe as Pau, they could probably do that. I doubt we see long stretches where all 3 are on the court though.
