the ref who missed MCW getting whacked on the face needs to change his name and address......for his own safety. terrible. should be fired on the spot

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Leonard and Siakam both hit several INCREDIBLY difficult shots over good defense. Tip of the cap to those guys for good shotmaking.

Isaac playing 40 minutes for the first time in his career in his playoff debut brings a tear to my eye.

Cliff coached such a good game. He left Isaac in that fourth quarter for what felt like the first time all season. Showed incredible confidence in him and he came up huge with the 3 and with his defense.

Not calling a time out and letting DJ run the time out and hit the three was also an excellent decision by Cliff as well.

Absolutely. Just look at the attention he's getting on DJ's game winner... 42% 3pt shooter left open.

Hopefully we figure out how to get Vuc, Ross and AG going next game... Raps are playing some tough interior defense and daring others to step up. DJ having such a big game and the team grinding out a win could open it up for our key guys next game.

Pretty good game plan honestly. It just didn’t work out well for them with DJ having the game of his career.

Wouldnt necessarily make us better imo... this team is gritty and balanced. Elf could never shoot, Tobias gets numbers but i dont think he impacts results much. Vic is the one i feel we should have kept, but we ended up with T Ross kinda if you factor in that we moved Serge for Ross, so overall im happy with that.

We need to keep this team together at all costs. We have a lot of guys on the trend upwards. Even guys like Wes, Khem and MCW are all showing they belong.

You are not giving them a chance to play under Clifford....Steve has made all the difference. Elf would have been awesome under him. He's better offensively than MCW and we look good when MCW is playing. Elfs defense would have improved and he was already a decent playmaker and finisher.

Tobias would have been good but I prefer AG and Isaac defensive ability to Tobias offense.

Just an amazing win. Never quit and just kept on taking their best shots and didn't get rattled. Who is this team? DJ was just flat out incredible with everyone talking about him just being a backup and he only goes up there and kills it. Props to JI too, he made some big plays and some big time shots for a young fella in his first playoff game. And how big a pickup has MCW been? Great defense and knocked down some big threes too. Well we stole one on their floor that's the first step. Now everyone has to be ready they are gonna be fired up Tuesday after dropping this one.

I think that particular play was just miscommunication, but he did help us out with drawing attention. However he must do better when he is guarded one on one. Gasol is a tough matchup for him.

Does it matter? We have a 5 man team on the court and none of them care who scores it. They load up the D on Vuc, we move it to JI, AG, they try to take DJ out and Evan will step up. You always see a teams first few options taken away in the playoffs which is why unselfish teams do well in the postseason.

No offense, but the only way you STEAL a game or "two" is if our entire starting lineup gets injured in the first 5 minutes of game 1. While i appreciate blind optimism, the talent difference between the two teams is so massive (not to mention depth and playoff experience), that it would take a meltdown of unparalleled proportions for the Raptors to lose more than 1 game in this series.

We could easily steal a game with our without your best players. Calm down. youre not that good.

Did anyone confirm MCW status? Is the nose broken or just a hard bump? Will he have the mask for next game?
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

it was tough for vuc this game, the refs were just letting gasol push vuc off his spot but calling touch fouls on the other end. sure you can jostle for position on the block but gasol was doing extra and not getting called for it.....i mean damn at one point gasol literally had his knee on vuc's back...i mean come on

They better respect his game. Marc has historically given Nik fits but he'll figure it out. I have no concern because cant and wont stop him the whole series. Told you we could easily steal a win in Toronto.

They said on TV just a bloody nose. No break.

We gotta try to take game 2 at all costs. Lowry will still be doubting himself so we have to capitalize

I haven't heard anything but the fact that he came in to play defense on that last possession by the Raptors make me think it was just a hard bump and there is no break. I highly doubt they would have let him play if he broke it.

Refs give the teams with better records preferential treatment all the time. Its about tv ratings. That's why we have to buckle down and just try and compensate for their bias. A knee to the back is a blatant foul and so is a smack in the face. they wont call it though. Not in Toronto.
