Ideally we would want a three team deal, but if not we are in position to absorb his contract (okafor). The only thing that gets me is why don't we just absorb the contract and trade him later on in the summer. Of course there's always the possibility that bower is dead set on moving cp3 and is patient enough to wait on a taker for okafor

The thing with taking on Okafor and hoping to trade him later is that it severely handcuffs us from making further deals this summer. Otis is pulling out all the stops to compete with potential Bosh/Wade/Lebron/Amare/Boozer pairings.

Awesome. Thanks. Interesting, for sure. And jeez, Otis is a greedy dude. Getting the league's best point and a double double big man isn't enough? Ha, that's awesome. Personally, I do think Okafor can play the four, and I wish he'd just pull the trigger if that's actually what's holding the deal up, if this is all true.

Eh, I'm not convinced Emeka can play the 4 at all. I'd rather have Brandon Bass play the 4 and keep Emeka on the bench, quite frankly. It's been less than 24 hours since serious rumors starting circulating, and I'm not so sure we do need to hurry up and get take on Emeka so we can nab Paul. Rome wasn't built in a day, and if it takes a few days, week tops, to get the best deal possible, Otis should do that.
