It's a ploy to build our players' trade value.

yeah, we overrate everyone except the 1 player that deserves to be overrated in trades.
Lopez & Wallace
Things would have been nice if we overrated Wallace back in that wondrous Lewis summer...

Maybe. but i think they actually believe we're better, with enough depth to make it to the Finals, and so do i.

If everyone plays to their potential, then I agree. Consistency is the biggest issue with our team.

Idk if this is just Magic media talking up our players... but everyone from Stan to David Steele has been very impressed with Von's offense. Not just shooting but play making

I would love to watch him play, but i doubt he gets any playing time unless JJ gets traded.

Honestly, if that Nets trade happened, you would have a pretty decent starting lineup, capable of playoffs.Nyce_1 wrote:MagicStarwipe wrote:Maybe this is why Dwight wants out. Management overrate it's own players? We'll see how deep this team really is.

Lopez & Wallace
PG-Jameer
SG-J Rich
SF-Gerald Wallace
PF-Big Baby
C-Brook Lopez
A lot of offensive talent there, scoring would be no problem at all. You would have also rid your team of the bad contracts (Hedo and Duhon, not to mention the massive trade exception), giving you plenty of cap space to make the team deep.

Yep. especially Jameer and Hedo. they need to be alot more consistent for this team to suceed. Dwight's always gonna be Dwight, with a bad game here and there, but if those 2 i named above played more consistent we'd be dangerous imo.

We better be getting some Von Wafer this season. David Steele is hyping him big.

I think Wafer offers a great scoring punch for us off the bench. He can definitely put the ball in the hole. I think he plays the "Jason Terry" role for us.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part VIII)
Ok I figured the trade that needs to happen to win now. I got the basics of the trade complete. Throw in some draft picks and some young players here and there and I believe this works for all teams. All Phoenix needs to do is resign aaron brooks in this scenario and it works good. Houston gets some centers that they have been after. Phoenix gets a star player in return. New Orleans gets a starting point guard and a backup power forward. We get Nash and a backup center and a young back up pg. I can see reasons for all the teams to make this trade.
http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/5952489
Orlando line up:
Nash/dragic/duhon
Jrich/hughes/Wafer
Hedo/childress/Liggins
Davis/Clark/Harper
D12/thabeet/orton
Of course that line up has many possibilities and not necessarily in that depth chart. I think that d12 might stay if Nash is here this year and maybe one or two more years while we trade for another pg later to replace him. I think would be a good line up this year with plenty of young talent to groom. I don't claim to be a good gm, but I do claim to be better than Otis smith.

Maybe this is the team where Von can keep his head on his shoulders.

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

Most of it out of my a$$ but the other stuff is coming from Steele himself...

Hows von wafer looking”> Looks good..knack for scoring
Scrimmage highlites- D12 knocking down jumpers..Hedo near the top of his game..Von Wafer impressive too.
SVG has mentioned him too, and we know Otis claimed he is one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA.
• He liked how the offense got good shots whenever Von Wafer ran off of screens. Wafer was effective passing the ball out when defensive help arrived. “We’ve had a lot of unselfish plays, but I thought he probably did the best job of anybody creating offense for himself and his teammates,” Van Gundy said.
