Jermaine Taylor will play for the Bulls in the Las Vegas Summer League. He's also hoping to play for the Magic in the Orlando Summer League.

Bring the hometown kid back home :)

OS: People are focusing on Andrew Bynum or Brook Lopez as being involved in a deal. Who would you rather have?

Penn: They’re both young and both developing. Contractually, I would probably prefer Brook Lopez because of the contractual advantage I would have. He is still on his rookie-scale contract, which means that the Magic would have the opportunity to extend his contract and be the only team that could do so, and they would have restricted free-agency rights. The likelihood of having a stable, long-term center would be there with Brook.

Bynum’s got an injury history, and Lopez has been pretty solid.

NIce to see it in context, why Penn would prefer Lopez over Bynum. Posters that are completely writing off Penn b/c of his desire to take Lopez over Bynum should read this. Also take note that this interview was on 12/11/11, which was weeks before Lopez's foot injury.

Part 26 is coming up soon and we still don't have GM. Anyways, is anybody interested in creating Part 26?

If I don't have any takers by page 91, then I'll go ahead do it.

Penn definitely has a great understanding of the salary cap and players contracts it seems... and we badly need someone who can get us out of this financial mess, that's for sure.

Tom Penn sounds promising in that he could hopefully find ways to move the likes of JRich, Duhon and maybe even Hedo. he might be the kind of guy who can sell a team on the promise of their 'cap impact'. Then again, he also sounds like the kind of guy the Magic might want in place if they wanted to orchestrate a big trade for Dwight and clear as many bad deals as possible, too.

If we're gonna go the rebuild route, i'd much MUCH rather have Weaver on board and in charge of the draft.

I think DJRajx should make the next thread. It'd be awesome for him to do it :)

StayDwight.com on Facebook said it was "inside scoop" that when the Celtics lose, Doc will become our GM...

Interesting... Didn't we hear about this somewhere else as well?

I don't buy that. I could believe Doc as President of BBall Ops.

Yeah I can see Doc as the POB... not so much as the GM

He did but if they let him quit the celtics wouldn't have to pay him. It wouldn't be the first time that someone has left a sports club while under contract.

I don't know if Doc leaves if the Celtics go to the finals.....i don't see him leaving Boston regardless anyway

You know what drives me crazy? Seeing Mr. PER disappear in the playoffs. Let's trade Ryan and JRich for Bass and Peaches :D

LOL please not the Ryan debate again. Lets agree to suspend Ryan chat til we get a GM.
