I'll admit, I know nothing about Waiters but just because he's a high pick, doesn't mean he makes the Cavs contenders, even with Bynum. And I'm someone who doesn't want Bynum here because I think he can be Grant Hill 2.0. That expectation doesn't change just because he'll be in Ohio.
And you're acting like they lost Irving for a long stretch. The guy was on my fantasy team. He was pretty healthy all year, until they end when they were 17-34 like I said.
Still doesnt change the fact that the east is weak.
Definite playoff teams:
Miami
Boston
Indiana
BKN
NY
Chi
that's it. It's not far fetched to think that Bynum and Irving could beat out teams that feature Brandon Jennings, or Josh Smith, or Iggy.
I never said the East was not weak. I am saying people, like you, are overrating the Cavs. Yes, they'd make the playoffs. Which is why I said they could be pick #15-20. Those teams you listed, I put all of those teams, except the Knicks, ahead of Cleveland with Kyrie and Bynum healthy. And like I said, if injuries take a toll on Bynum, that can become a top 10 pick. And if Bynum leaves after next year? And we have 3 more of their 1st round picks?
I said it's not the trade I want... but it's not as bad as I think some of you guys think.
