no. most of us want to trade dwight now and get it over with in the 3 way Houston La deal or Just a Houston Deal. thus we can start rebuilding now instead of delaying it for a year unless dwight puts his Big Boy pants on and Resigns

Yeah , i really think that the best deal for everybody would be a 3 way trade involving the you guys, Lakers and Houston, but your GM doesn't seem to think in this way

I wouldn't assume that to be true. Our GM is pretty tight-lipped. When everyone was claiming that the Nets deal was done, Henny later came out and basically said they had beans to offer. Too tough to make assumptions about the direction he's headed outside of he wants youth, picks, and cap relief.

I don't know if the magic can get the most out the Rockets by including LA. Either way, I don't care where Dwight goes as long as we get the best deal. For example, if Brooklyn had Houston's assets, I would have happily sent him over there.

So you know what our GM is thinking? You don't even know what the exact details of a potential 3 ways trade between the lakers, magic and rockets.

either way houston has the Most Lucrative deal potentially in terms of wat he wants. Maybe he just sends him to Houston then the Lakers and Rockets Make a Deal if they cant convince Dwight to stay 8-)

I don't think Houston wants to. They want to give us as little as possible for Howard to keep assets to assemble a team similar to what we wanted w/ Dwight. Mix of Iggy/Ellis/JSmoove with Dwight and Jeremy Lin. Sucks but that's what they want to do. It leads me to believe we are going to go after a player like Ellis to pair with Dwight and make a run at the finals. Possibly get him to sign an extension. I mean think about it, ever since he's been asking for help, have we really got him all-star caliber help? Nope. Time to show Dwight we're serious. Throwing money at Turk, J Rich, and Arenas was NOT the all-star caliber help Dwight needs to lead Orlando to a championship.

My only concern is w/ Ellis and Jameer being our guards on the floor that is pretty small and not very good defensively. Even if we started Ellis at PG, I feel like JJ and J Rich aren't what we'd need at SG with him. If only Liggins was developed I think he'd be perfect next to Ellis.

lol...your GM likes to trade through the media. Everybody and their mama knew what packages have been offered till now for Dwight. no offense but he is still a 30yr old Virgin GM....

Like the 1 insider said on LG he basically walked away from the agreed upon trade with the lakers.

I'm not a fan of a Jameer/Monta back court either, but CP3/Billups had some success. Landing a consistent, dominant, perimeter scorer that D12 has lacked in 8 years since being here would be too good to pass up on. Monta and Dwight is a good foundation to build upon and in 2013 we'd have to do our best to land a good SF or swing man. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility of letting Monta start at point and letting Jameer come off the bench. I don't think Jameer is the prideful kind unwilling to take that role. It'd be more fitting for him too and help bring a great spark off our bench.

Really looking forward to watching Ryan on the Hornets next year to see what we passed on. I'm still keeping tabs on Gortat and regret him being traded to this day and that has nothing to do with Dwight.

True. I think Ellis/Dwight combo would be sick and definitely two guys playing with their hearts on the floor. The more I think about it the more I don't want to trade Dwight and make a run at Ellis...seeing those two guys playing hard every night with a championship goal in mind would be epic. Not to mention most our roster minus Dudu and Turk are really hungry for a championship. hahaha well I bet they want a championship but they sure don't play like it.

Also, think about it, our guys have had "championship. championship. championship" in their minds ever since Dwight turned into a beast. That's been our current rosters goal for the longest time. We still have most of the guys from 08-09 and you know they won't take a rebuild well. Don't be surprised if we trade Dwight, most of these guys will probably get traded as well.

Thank goodness for our virgin GM being able to pull a vet GM move and turn down the Laker trash like too many teams never seem to do, LA is an organization who's fans are comprised of front runners anyways..

lol @ Insiders at LG.

Posters on there take guys like LARobMurphy seriously?

https://twitter.com/LaRobMurphy

This is what he's said in the past.
July 13th
Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
I've been told the deal is done and will be announced tomorrow. Hell of a gamble by Morey and Rockets ownership...good luck.

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@DwightHoward Congrats I guess being a Rocket...wish you could have extended the Lakers legacy of big men. You could have been king of LA.

July 10th
Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@LAKERFANATICS @Lakerholicz @LakerFacts Bynum flew to Orlando today, confirmed. People saying planned vacation, really?

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@MaxLuckan After Devos family meeting tomorrow, he will sign extension.

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@LarryCoon Bynum has arrived in Orlando, more in the morning.

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@MarkGMedina Actually he's in Orlando tonight :)

From Today
Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@Lakerholicz Stories our leaking that Henny is overwhelmed and is pressing. A deal will be done in next week or so IMO.

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@MaxLuckan Henny is overwhelmed and continues to tease teams and walk away, whole league is frustrated. Henny is on a mini vaca right now

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@MaxLuckan Of course not, because you don't have any real info. I know first hand that a deal was nearly done 10 days ago but Henny froze.

Robert Murphy ‏@LaRobMurphy
@MaxLuckan That's the safe bet Max, a deal is always hard to make. Did you hear the tongue lashing Buss Jr. gave to Henny 10 days ago...

Return to Orlando Magic
